new SD9VE FTE and slide wont lock back

I've had my SD9VE for a while now, bought some new magazines and went to the range last week Wednesday. Never had any issues with FTEs or FTFs, but not one of my magazines would lock the slide back when empty or after the last round in the magazine was fired. Called S&W and they sent me a label...

    price of 22 ammo?

7-10 cents a round is pretty common around the DFW area for .22lr. Anytime a store sells for less than that, the ammo doesn't last long. It seems there are still some hoarders around these parts, as Academy still has a 500 round limit per day (not that, that is really a limit per se).

    Why did you purchase a S&W SD9VE/SD40VE

For me it was from recommendations of friends and family who love Smith and Wesson products, but I had to factor in price so I went with these. Ended up getting both at a gun show for less than the price of a new gen 4 Glock.

    SD9VE conceal dilemma

I'm another that has the AlienGear IWB Cloak Tuck 3.0 and it was about $40 with shipping. Distributes weight very evenly. I can carry either my SD9VE or SD40VE with the same holster.

Is Remanufactured Ammo Safe to Shoot?

I've shot plenty of Freedom's remanufactured loads without a problem in both 9mm and 40S&W. No issues yet.

Time to check your ammo supply again?

Went to my local Cabela's as is my usual Friday after work stop, and they still have plenty of ARs out on the floor, stock has been thinned, but still have plenty. All of the sale prices on .223/5.56 ammo has been removed, and the shelves were a lot thinner than when I went last Friday, a...

PMags vs. Hexmags v. Metal Mags

I was wondering which magazines y'all prefer for your M&P sports? I've got a mix of some Magpul Pmag Gen 2s and Hexmags. Both work equally well for me. I'm curious to see if anyone has used the Magpul Pmag Gen 3s and if there is much difference from the Gen 2s? Also, anyone else using the...

    New M&P Sport II Owner

I gather that much like my SD9VE, the M&P Sport II will eat just about any ammo without issue? I would like to buy some Silver Bear .223 to try out in it but with shipping costs I would like to purchase a bulk buy. I've shot brass through it no issue, but would like to give steel a try. Thanks!

    New M&P Sport II Owner

Hi All, I'm pretty excited, for my birthday this week I purchased my first M&P Sport II. I will say, I didn't know how exciting it would be, but after spending time at a local gun show with a friend of mine who is a former Army Captain, he showed me ALL the different upgrades I could make to...

    SD9VE 16+1 ?? Or 15+1=16

I've found with time, my magazines for my SD9VE and SD40VE have all gradually become easier to load full. I load 16 in the mag for the 9 and do not have a hard time getting the mag to lock in, I load 14 in the 40 and same thing. With time they have certainly become easier to load when full into...

    Extra Magazine Holsters

I did some searching and didn't find much on the forums in the way of recommendations for holsters for extra magazines. I'm looking to carry and extra magazine with me and was wondering what the best options are for the SD9VE and SD40VE double stack mags are?

    When shooting at the range..

I've been going about once a month, put 200 - 250 rounds through each of my 9mm and .40S&W. I usually shoot 150 through each at 7 yards, then 100 through each at 15 yards.

    Carry Holster Recommendations

Thank you for all the options listed. I ended up getting the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0 IWB. It will fit both my SD9VE and SD40VE, so I could carry either one with the same holster. It is very comfortable, and I really like the different ways to adjust it.

    Aluminum Case Ammo

I put 100 rounds of 9mm and 100 rounds of .40 S&W through my SD9VE and SD40VE respectively yesterday and had no issues with Independence Aluminum. Decent stuff and not overly dirty either.

Good place online to get 9mm cheap?

Has anyone shot the 9mm mixed lot seconds from Legendary Ammo via AmmoMart? Just wondering, they have a great price on it.

Looking at an SD9VE. What's the big deal?

I really like my SD9VE, so much so I went out and got the big brother SD40VE. They are both fantastic lower cost options for self-defense and they eat all the ammo I put through them. Haven't had one FTE or FTF yet, they both eat everything. I don't think it's an awful trigger, it seems to...

M&P Performance Center Ported 9mm Shield

Thank you for your input. My main usage would be for concealed carry and home defense. I like the size, and was curious about the other features. I have both the SD9VE and SD40VE and was thinking this would be a step up as well as a smaller carry gun for the summer months here in Texas, barrel...

M&P Performance Center Ported 9mm Shield

I did, thank you. Given that this is a brand new pistol from S&W, I was looking for opinions from people that actually have this particular gun, not just pistols that may or may not have one of the features of this gun, but actually have this gun, have shot this gun, etc.
