    Looking at a model 64

Yea I’m going to look at it and grab it if all seems ok. Was wrestling with getting a 642 for pocket carry vs a larger sized home defense weapon and saw this one and have to at least look at it.

    Looking at a model 64

Here’s a pic of it. I love that it’s stainless so much easier maintenance. Just hope it’s been lightly used.

    Looking at a model 64

I have a chance to buy a Model 64 no dash, no clue when it dates from, it’s stainless I think, and has a pinned barrel. It’s a really nice looking piece, I haven’t checked it out in person yet but am going to do that tomorrow. Normally my ocd doesn’t like me to buy a used gun, but I really like...

    Model 30-1

Now I just have to determine whether to have it refinished at some point, I tend to like my guns looking new. The backstrap bluing is worn off some, and the grips do need replacing.

    Model 30-1

Local pawnshop had this Model 30-1 .32 hand ejector and I couldn’t pass it up. I still need to clean it and maybe get some new grips at some point. Came with box and paper. No clue when it dates from maybe you guys can help me! Serial number is 814413. Thanks!

    Model 30

Leaning towards just getting a 442. Does the 30 look rough? Haven’t looked at it in person yet so idk

    Model 30

Pic of the Model 30 ^ Yea practicality as far as the 442 is good. 38 spl readily available cheap ammo and I do usually feel more comfortable buying used guns. But that Model 30 is enticing too! Not sure yet but I’m going to look at it and then decide.

    Model 30

Nice assortment there! Unfortunately I can’t get both right now haha although I’d like that. 😁 Everyone says the 442 is good but I love the feel of a good old vintage. But new vs old hmm

    Model 30

I’ve had the revolver bug again, and debating whether to get myself a no lock new 442 or go for a nice prelock gun. Typically I prefer to buy new, because I’m just ocd like that, but really love older Smiths. Currently I’m debating whether to get a 442 for a trail/car/shooting, verses get me a...

    Model 66-1 6 inch

Thanks for the great info! I will try and use the ruler to check the length of the barrel. So how would you guys rate the condition of it by the pics, they say it's only been test fired and is in as-new condition. Was debating whether to put it on layaway or not. I'll have to check the lockup...

    Model 66-1 6 inch

I actually like the 6-inch barrel. They're asking 795 which is steep. I agree I think a hundred less would still be steep, although it does appear to be a nice example. If I check it out in person and it looks nice, I would definitely haggle and try and bring them down a good bit on it. They say...

    Model 66-1 6 inch

Here are a couple more pics of the 66. There is a small scratch on one side of the cylinder but the gun looks nice overall the guy says it is as-new and has only been test fired. What about the cylinder scratch should that deter me or is that something superficial and should I give it some...

    Some daily spottings

He told me one of them was a Model 12. I'm confused too lol. I know he did say one was allow frame and one wasn't. Both were nickel. One was an Airweight 4" both were pinned with their boxes.

    Some daily spottings

Yea I wasn't looking to buy just a bit of windowshopping. They were nice examples. I know one had adjustable sights and one did not. Both were 4 inch. One was .38 and one was .357. The .38 had Airweight on the barrel. The 357 had a crane underlug but only halfway. Nice condition, but grossly...

    Some daily spottings

Was bored today dropped in lgs he had some nice looking pinned nickel guns a Model 10 Airweight .38 spl and a Model 12 with adjustable sights, and another one, a combat magnum all nickel. The Model 12 was heavy as lead, I was interested in the airweight because I had thought that was a modern...

    Model 66-1 6 inch

It says it is test fired only with factory cocobolo target grips with the pinned barrel that it is an early version of the model 66. Looks to have only some minor scratches on side of cylinder from handling. Not sure how those could have gotten there. Says the box is numbered to the gun. Does...

    Model 66-1 6 inch

Lgs has this nice looking Model 66 going to go check it out but wanted to see what you all think. I love blued but stainless due to living in a humid climate is much easier. This one is pinned so must be a very late model. Comes with box, looks in great shape. Should I grab it.
