Local pawnshop had this Model 30-1 .32 hand ejector and I couldn't pass it up. I still need to clean it and maybe get some new grips at some point. Came with box and paper. No clue when it dates from maybe you guys can help me! Serial number is 814413. Thanks!

Please check the serial number. I count 7 digits in yours, should only have 6.

Was that pawn shop in Berea, by chance? If so, it's been on Lexington ArmsList for several weeks. Guess I can scrap the field trip I was thinking of taking LOL. Nice score BTW!

Now I just have to determine whether to have it refinished at some point, I tend to like my guns looking new. The backstrap bluing is worn off some, and the grips do need replacing.

If you look for the definition of "Fun Gun" the illustration will show that gun! The little 32s are both handy to carry and fun to shoot, and if you reload, they are quite economical as well. I'd hold off on any alterations until I had time to really get to know and appreciate it as it is... grips (or a grip adaptor) may help your hold, but a reblue is something you will have to really want for yourself because it won't increase the gun's value by its cost and of course it can never be original again. If you're going to carry and shoot it a lot, it will just get back to the same state, so what have you gained? JMHO, YMMV. :D

The cost to refinish the gun is would be more than half the cost of the gun, and a refinish would lower the collectable value by half. Not an economically good move.

I too had that in my sights but passed for a couple of reasons, one being it was Armslist and the second was the seller as most others on Armslist couldn't take the time to wipe the gun down so you were able to determine what degree of wear it had. I won't use Armslist unless it is a store front business and I can use a CC for security if they fail to deliver. I can't say how frustrated I have been trying to find a model 30 .32 snub nose under or around $500. For such a unpopular round you would think they would be raining down from the sky's above. Oh well the hunt is half the fun and I see you still haven't wiped down your new revolver unless those are scratches in which case I am happy to of passed. Have fun with it!
