Since my first S&W stainless revolver in 1966, I have never seen such a rusted gun as that one. There is definitely a hidden story here.

Unfortunately, you must remove the locking block completely to properly install the new spring. Check the Apex and YouTube websites for helpful videos. Apex makes the perfect removal jig so you don't beat up your frame. Good Luck.
