To me for being over max on the first fire .I say trim and then after you fire them again ,see what they are in length. If did not change much from being trim then you should be ok . If like stated about going over need to check other things.

I use both 4227 and 2400 for different loads.lot of times you will see both of them listed for the same ga or cartilage.IMR 4227 is still out there and I read somewhere that H4227 is the same now.since IMR was selling better then H.

If you load for 357 /38spl and do cast for them the die for them will work for the size you looking to get .That is what I use when I need to load cast that size for 9mm.

I use Lyman M die and RCBS and Hornady expander and do not lube the expander to flare the case.I do load 9mm with cast and have no problems .Like stated you do not need much of a flare on the mouth just enough to have the boolit to start to go in the case with out shave.

I do not only do it to save money, but also for a hobby and enjoyment. I like the most of it is load develop. I load mainly cast boolits. I can do more with that then jacket.

With 2 grs different will not matter for your data as long you start low and work up your load you will be good. Also for the OAL cycle in your gun for what you stated with out any problems go with that.

The time I use Lee Liquid Alox is when I size and shoot 00buck shot out of my 30cals for lite loads , for all my other cast boolits I make my own lube of the old NRA with ATF.
