I know a few guys in their early 50s casting but I think its an older guys hobby. I have been going since I was 20, about 43y now. Its like therapy.
I started when I was 18 in 1972......Been at it ever since. It's the only way I can afford to shoot my handguns as much as I do. BTW when commercial lube sticks went from $1 each to $5 each I started making my own lube from commode seals and canning wax. Works as good as any of the bought stuff. No leading and a good lube star on the muzzle after shooting.
