Bullet casters check in

I know a few guys in their early 50s casting but I think its an older guys hobby. I have been going since I was 20, about 43y now. Its like therapy.

I started when I was 18 in 1972......Been at it ever since. It's the only way I can afford to shoot my handguns as much as I do. BTW when commercial lube sticks went from $1 each to $5 each I started making my own lube from commode seals and canning wax. Works as good as any of the bought stuff. No leading and a good lube star on the muzzle after shooting.

I started casting in 1963 and I am still at it. I cast for .25,7mm,.30,.35 &.44. Calibers. I haven't shot a jacketed bullet load in years!
Casting is very therapeutic for me.

I’m an old fart now @67, but started casting when I was 17 or 18.

Have molds for, .277, .308, .38/357 (148 WC, 160 SWC), .338, 9mm,.375, .40, .44 (220, 265), .453 (300, 400), and .459 (430)
Not casting nearly as much as I used too, but then.....I don’t shoot as much as I used to. memtb

You know during the "supposed" ammo shortage a few years ago when people were freaking and buying all and anything put the shelf..........Us casters with powder and primers laid by..........Went merrily on shooting without a care or problem(shortage).

You got it right it did not bother me .I just look at another way if the 22lr was going too high and had some of my rifles shoot like a 22lr and also reload my own primers if need to.
