    Advertisements

I remember a Super Bowl ad from long, long ago with a herding cats theme. At the time, I didn't see the name of the company, what they were attempting to sell or the purpose of the ad. The only thing I remember is that some Ad Exec wasted $1million of a clients money on a 30 second SB ad.

    Calguns?

Is Calguns back? My login still works. I kinda gave up when they went through the upgraded, regraded and graded again cycle. I loved the legal parts where Komifornia's rules and regulations were clarified along with the C&R pages.

Business CEO's and business practices in general

One thing that may be driving the "menu diet" are the rising food and labor costs. The $18 McD's Big Mac deal may be an outlier (the CEO sure hopes so), but it is indicative of the rising food costs across all companies and families that prepare meals. It may be that the best sellers are also...

    Splendid behavior.

I like that you let the company know about the quality of their service. I wish we had that same attitude, and service, around here.

moving my herd east, looking for advice

Have your vehicle serviced and inspected about 2 weeks before the trip. That way you can 'age' the service, many issues are caused by the service itself.

Mini Rant - Drive right, pass left!!

I do a lot of multi-lane metro driving in the early morning/late night and find the left lane sight seeing tourists or the wanna-be lunatic race car drivers a danger to life and limb. However, it is almost a habit with me to avoid the far left lanes during those hours, not only because of...

Warning! Gas stoves are hazardous to your health

Many of those malcontents are politicians, or wanna-be politicos, looking for votes and have to be perceived as "doing something for the ________________" (fill in the blank with latest trending issues). some of my favorite latest issues are: For the children the environment our future the...

    An Absolute Idiot

Same with Los Angeles. Lakers and Dodgers all seem to cause riots. Don't know about the Clippers and Chargers yet. Oops correction - Civil Disturbances, same broken glass and burned out trash cans and cars though.

You guys are not doing your part

I was with a group that went to City Tavern in Philadelphia to sample some colonial food, or so it was advertised. They had a beer sampler, 5 different brews, according to them these were authentic and produced as they would have been back in the 1770's, original ingredients and methods, etc...

    Too many GrabAGun emails

My irksome emailer is Brownells. I get several a day touting some 'great deals'. I solved my irk by adding a filter, they just get sent to a separate folder as they are received. I can read/delete when I want.

    The Ultimate One Way Ticket

It was called, "The Odyssey". "A vessel larger than any city Earth had ever conceived, was a sarcophagus of ambition and hope. Launched two hundred years prior, the multi-generational starship carried the last remnants of humanity on a one-way journey to Kepler-186f." Another is "Orphans of...

    The Ultimate One Way Ticket

You would be considered a Wizard or Warlock considering your modern attitudes and knowledge of math, science, medicine and a wealth of other "ordinary" knowledge. If you were lucky, you might be highly respected but you might also be feared and burned at the stake.

Registering on gunbroker to sell some guns from my private collection.

I agree, don't give anybody access to your real, long time, credit card, saving, or checking account. Go get a prepaid credit card, maybe $300 or so, and give them that number.

    Life's Simple Pleasures

Absolutely. Why buy foreign when the US grows some of the best crops going. I understand that some of the best are shipped to other countries, farmers have to make a profit too, but the seasonal items are still great.
