    Loading 38s how many do you load for testing. I was thinking 5 put maybe 10 is better. Only 25 yards to start with. My revolver is a 686. 6 inch. 158 gr soft lead cast bullets. Thanks

    38/44 loads

    Looking for some 38/44 load data. Will my 686 6 inch handle the loads with no issues? I have standard brass as well. Plus the 358/156 bullets. Thanks for any info on this. Oh,I see where some are using these in the Rossi 92 carbines. My owner says nothing over plus p loads..

    Another question...44 Special only...Using 240 grain load data because there is NONE for the 220 gr HP...Lets just say with the 240 grain bullet your getting 900 fps..What do you suppose the 220 bullet will be traveling???Again this is 44 Special..NOT MAG...gotta get me a tripod for my chrono..John

    I know it gets very confusing and when you look at the velocity's of factory ammo you will see even lower velocity's. They can't all be just target shooting loads..

    I have here titegroup,,unique,,2400,,blue dot..I want to get a loadfor the 44 special that I know will be good for deer hunting..But just not sure of what velocity I should be aiming for..Range I am thinking NOTHING over 75 yards

    Appreciate your reply..I really have no intention of trying to go to fast..I really can't take to recoil such as a younger shooter may be able to obsorb..Maybe I wouldn't get any leading just wanted to see if others have done the same thing..John

    ok I got some 220 grain cast HP bullets but do not find any data for that weight. Any suggestions..Not sure if I could use the data for the next weight or the lower weight..

    ok people..got up to the range earl this morning..Told work I was going to be a few minutes late..Got the handgun now sighted for like maybe 1/2 inch high at 25 yards..5 shots in approx.2 1/2 inch..I feel so much better about this..Just wanted you all to know this..Johnny

    ok, I appreciate you comments.i have a pretty decent load worked up..only thing is it is hitting about 3 inch high at 25 yards with no time to get back to the range..do you pros think it is ok to leave it like this..our senior season opens this Thursday.Tomorrow and the next day are busy days...

    what size plate you use..i am shooting at 6 inch plates and hitting at 50 yds,from a rest...I was kind of thinking around 800 to 900 fps....

    Ok,I admit I can't handel the mag very well,old and weak.. So my question is this..What velocity would be good for deer in Pa at ,lets say 50 yards..I have 240 gr xtp's and lots of cast 255 smc.. I tried the 44 mag but after a few shots I think I get to twitching and itchion...lol I just don't...
