    S&W K22 5 screw maintenance

I watched the video and it is a huge help. Although I haven't done so yet I will be able to get it a part and back together with the video. Sure is a lot more parts in a revolver vs a 1911. Target grips came today and I mounted them. Grips fit my hands much better. Appreciate everyone's help.

    S&W K22 5 screw maintenance

I have plenty of Kroil and a soldering iron with a small tip and will put a little heat on the screw head with the soldering iron tip.

    S&W K22 5 screw maintenance

Thanks for everyone's help. I have the yoke and cylinder off now and also the side plate. No damage done. The lube on all the moving parts under the side plate (what little there is of it) has hardened and basically these parts are dry. The screw in front of the trigger guard isn't budging. What...

    S&W K22 5 screw maintenance

I won't bugger the screws. I have worked on many guns over the years and have the correct tools. But never a S&W revolver. So if I remove the side plate I am afraid springs will fly all over the garage floor. I will research the Kuhnhausen manual.

    S&W K22 5 screw maintenance

My late father-in-law gave me this pistol decades ago and I have kept it stored. I want to bring it out of retirement and give it a good cleaning. I am having difficulty finding books and/or links for disassembly and am hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Grips for my K-22 third series

I have had this revolver many years and am just now getting around to enjoying it. The OEM grips are too small for my big hands and am looking for some larger grips that don't cost a fortune.

    Dillon vs Lee vs others

I have been reloading for 57 years. I have a RCBS Jr press, Redding T7 press, and a Dillon 550C. The 550C was purchased new about 4 years ago. I have no experience with Lee products. My Dillon 550 is a pretty remarkable press. I waited a long time to get it and was well worth the wait.
