My SW1911 E came with a full length guide rod so I tried a flat wire recoil spring I had on hand but ended up switching it back. I found the few oz of weight up front felt better to me.

I recently purchased a 632 UC and am completely satisfied with it. I think the move from Mass to Tenn may have produced some temporary production and QC issues that will eventually be worked out. I prefer to give S&W the benefit of a doubt.

Probably dried lubricant from sitting for years is making it sticky. The remedy is complete disassembly and acetone bath for metal parts then reassemble and lube. Lube alone will help but will get stiff again after a period of time.

Painting the front sight if carefully done works great on prewar guns where you dont want to make permanent modifications and can be easily scraped off with a fingernail.

I recently quit reloading 9mm & .223. At the present time the price of loaded ammo in those calibers has come down to the point where its no longer worth the time and effort to reload them IMO. I concentrate on 38/357, 45acp, 45colt, 44mag/spec, 32-20, calibers that are more expensive as loaded...

Hello all, recently ive noticed a couple triple locks for auction on Gunbroker that were missing the ejector rod knob. Is that part availiable? Is it the same as the later 2od and 3rd model knob? Thanks!
