I used to have a first run 627 just like that. I traded it away because it did not shoot cast bullets well at all, as in they keyholed bad enough to completely miss a popper at five yards. I ended up with the 627 8 shot .357 Magnum and despite being a MIM/lock gun it's one of the best shooting S&W revolvers I have ever owned. Too bad I dramatically cut back on my match shooting shortly thereafter.
