Default Flat SAT

I went to my local Mom and Pop gun shop and range today. They ran across this while going through some junk they were trying to clean out. Knowing my fondness for Smith & Wesson they gave it to me. My question is this a promotional hand out or did it actually come with a gun? Either way I appreciate the gesture. The gentleman who runs this store with his wife has been battling cancer for over a year. This was only the second time I have seen him during his fight. I am quite fond of them and wish them the best. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hugh

I am no expert on the SATs but looked back at an old post and it said that style did come with new handguns around 1991-forward.

Yes late 80’s and beyond SAT. They did come with revolvers and automatics. Two versions, small hole and large hole( yours ) I have sold them at gun shows for $10

If I recall, they were also giveaways at some of the SHOT shows in the 90s. Ed

That type came with the new 686 no dash revolvers that I was issued as a trooper in about 1985.
