Unhappy A Hunt for a S&W Branded Husqvarna rifle finally End's

Hello
I have wanted to add a S&W Branded Husqvarna rifle to my collection for a while now, but due to their Lower production the hunt has been unsuccessful until recently. I Spotted one on Gunbroker.com. It was the very hard to Locate Mannlicher full wood model E rifle. I contacted the seller and asked if he would do a buy it now as it was in a standard auction about to end with No Bidders. He priced it, and I bought it. It was shipped from Montana by U. P. S. and I was called by my FFL person when it showed up. When I arrived at my FFL Guy's shop, he had a very weird look on his face. He shared with me that UPS had Destroyed the rifle in shipment. I Opened the box shown below and was sick to my stomach.

My feelings soon Turned to Rage and I could not touch with the seller of it for Three days as he was out of town, so I started a damage claim on it. It appeared to me that it had been run over with a fork lift to sustain this kind of Horrific damage, and who Ever did This, Knew they did it in Transit. It took me Nine days to settle with the seller on it, as he wanted to be assured he would be paid through the insurance he placed in it, Which had nothing to do with me... mean while I Located another Husqvarna S&W Branded rifle, This one was Unfired and it also was on the Gunbroker.com auction site as well, so I contacted the seller and shared my Previous Husqvarna story with him & had happened to the first rifle, and being he was a compassionate sole and gun Lover, he too ended the auction early after he priced the gun to me.

During our Transaction, I made certain that he shipped this one in a Hard case and "NOT Through UPS". It arrived Via the Postal service in the Unfired condition shown. I mounted a vintage Redfield 3-9-X Wide Field scope on it and hope to get to the range to fire it on Monday. I am Glad my Hunt for one of these rare rifles is finally over, but it is a Shame that the Beautiful Mannlicher was destroyed forever in the process...

Very glad to hear that there was a good outcome to this terrible story. Also very pleased that you chose the correct brand scope for any S&W rifle.
