I just traded for a S&W 3000 pump shotgun. I know they were build by Howa in the 80's and were to compete with the 870. This one has a side folding stock that has S&W on the stock. I have seen alot of the police trade-ins with wood or plastic full stocks but I had never seen the folder other than an aftermarket. What is it worth for my list as I plan to use it as a HD gun. Thanks

Does your stock look like this?
Mine is a Choate I bought in the 80's when the gun was new.
My understanding is the S&W folding stocks were made by Choate and marked for S&W.
Value is maybe $50 more than similar shotgun with a fixed stock.

Looks just like it but I am missing the middle piece, but it is the stock with the S&W where it swivels
