Just bought a New FPS & a Prism 3X Sight. Mounting the Prism, as far back as possible on the PIC Rail, the distance from the eye, to the Sight, is too great to use the Sight. Most otics have a eye relief less than 3 inches.

Crowding the stock, to see thru the optic, produces a Neat Effect....... You lose some teeth, due to the Charging Handle coming back, when firing & taking out your chops!
Any Comments !!!

It sounds like you bought the wrong type of sight.

If you want magnification, you'll need to get an intermediate or extended eye relief scope. Most red-dot and holo-sights lack magnification and have no eye relief limitations. I've used them on carbines and pistols with good results.

I had the same problem. I tried to find the no longer produced Leupold Scout Optic and settled for a made in China 1-5x scope with 6" eye relief.

The below YouTube video shows it in action.

kenong Nothing wrong with your FPC. Its the Prism optic that you bought as is a short eye relief optics and that can be found in the optics specs ! At least you learned to check the specs next time!

Go buy a pistol scope and amazon has a pile of handgun scope to review and get the added weight or buy a dot optic . A son-in-law but a NC Star 2-7x32 with a lighted reticle option for his ar15 carbine . It has worked well for 3 or 4 years so far and cost all of 65 bucks currently on amazon. Eye relief is 8 to 10 inches too . He used regular tall rings .
My wife picked out a nice 30mm dot optic for her .

With a red dot there is no eye relief. I use a Burris ff3 or Vortex on my pcc’s and pistols.

Agreed, the root problem is using a magnified optic on a 9mm carbine intended for pleasure shooting (plinking) or minute-of-torso defensive purposes well inside of 100 yards.

Sounds like you need the Taccom3g scope mount. $99.
If that's too pricey a Yankee Hill Machine 6" rail extension might do the trick but it'll make the rifle longer when folded. $50.

Just joined the site, kinda makes me wonder if we have a troll. If the OP is for real, I would be more than happy to take that unusable FPC of his hands.........for a heavily discounted price of course because it is unusable!!!:D

Hi. THANKS Yes, Discovered this mount & Ordered one!Looks like this will solve the problem.

Handle

If your charging handle is hitting your chops and taking out teeth you do have a problem!

The FPC charging handle does not reciprocate
Fine.....Tell that 2 my Handle!.............K

Not everyone has 20/20 vision. Some have astigmatism etc

Buy a green dot optic like the holosun 32moa circle and 2moa dot . Decide if you want both the circle and the optic on or one or the other . I dealt with astigmatism for 35 years . I managed to get buy as a handgun hunter with a 2moa ultra dot , red dot for at least all those 35 years by that is an offensive use and the dot can be turned down to a lower setting . Stop with a why nots and try something new . OH a handgun scope or rifle LER scope has no issues with astigmatism !!

My Vortex Crossfire....

...works reely gud on my AR carbine. No magnification though. But no parallax and unlimited eye relief.

Update: I see Primary Arms has an AR mount that moves the scope back from the mounting rail. Vortex has some, too. Think you could get one to fit your scope?
