Well they finally did it. Wish they would have let us know last year. Started buying parts for an AR platform 10mm. Half way there. How about some 20-25 round magazines? Just extend the 15 rounders like the 9mm.
Then you can come out with a FPC in 5.7x28mm and really hurt me where it counts.

You will like it. Mine shot a small 5 shot group with 3 shots touching at 35 yards. Using inexpensive reloads.

I think that the route they chose makes perfect sense. Make the 9mm first, because that will be the volume seller. Make the 40 second, to try to maintain their own cartridge. Now 10mm because that's getting to the point of trying to break into the big 3 in terms of popularity, and to go with their m&p.

If youre looking for a quality, fun to shoot .45acp pcc, check out the ruger lc carbine. Fantastic shooter for the money and easy to get higher capacity mags for(Kriss 30rd extensions).

Normally wouldn't get a 10mm PCC, but one that shares mags with my 10mm M&P sounds like a good deal.

I think that is the bolt release. The cross bolt safety is the button at the front of the trigger guard.

Now I just need to find someone that will take my money for one of these. I think I’ve got 12 M&P 10mm mags, so I’ve been ready for this!

Range time with FPC 9mm

Went to the range yesterday to test velocities out of the FPC9. Tried some different 9mm ammo through the carbine. Impressive results. 124g handloads. Nothing special. Average 1249 fps. Bought this Norma 108g MHP defense ammo. Average 1434 fps. Winchester SG9W. 115G FMJFP. Box stated training/practice ammo. Loaded faster than normal, but they say it's not +P. Average 1543 fps! Nice. It is supposed to be slightly slower than the M1152 ammo. Don't think so. Tried it out of a 4.75" pistol. Got 1353 fps. Would like to see 10mm results through the FPC. I have the M&P 10mm with the compensator. Shot some 200g Grizzly ammo. 1277fps. Box stated 1250.

I am going to hold out for a S&W FPC in 45. Nothing against Ruger but, I am on the S&W forum after all. I still think a Spec combo of a FPC and M&P in 45ACP with consecutive serial #s would be a hot seller.

I’ll keep everyone apprised and might even be able to provide a range report before the weekend. I’ll go in with my 12 M&P mags pre-loaded

I think you are correct. Also surprising is no 30 Super Carry yet. I guess that will die off soon.

No desire for the 9mm version, would really like a 45acp version, but the 10mm has interest piqued. I had a Mech Tech 10mm carbine upper a while back and it was a good platform let down by lack of serviceability.

I'd be curious if the 9mm and 40 share the same frame. They should like the regular M&Ps. The 45 and 10mm share the same M&P frame. Would make sense why the 10mm came first being they already had the barrel from the 40, just need to rechamber and add a heavier buffer spring.

Us handloaders would like to know what the fired brass looks like? I had the Cmmg in 10mm it was a thumper for about 2 mags until I inspected the brass then she got sold...

I wouldn’t mind seeing one in .357 Sig.

You would think that since they already make the 9mm and 40 cal, doing a .357 Sig would be a piece of cake. Bore the 9mm receiver out to .357 Sig size and put it on a 40 chassis - job done.

I have the 9mm and I used it USPSA matches for the last two years. With out a doubt it’s fun to shoot, and it has never failed to function over 1000’s of rounds. Now the 10mm would be a real nice woods gun, but a little too much for competition. It will be interesting to see what S&W chambers next in the FPC line.

Take my money. Thanks for planting that seed. I almost ordered the 10mm FPC last week but paused. A Response in 10 mm would be awesome if it ever happens. Got the nine. Second range trip, I put the Glock magwell in it. It's still in there due to 32 rd. Glock mags I have. I think I'll wait.

Well, after some miscommunication on the LGS and my part, I finally picked it up this morning. I had called them on Thursday the 27th and they said it hadn’t come in. I waited till yesterday and called them. They said oh, yeah, it came in on the 27th and we tried to call you

Oh well, water under the bridge and I’m not going to get upset about it. Range trip planned for tomorrow and I’ll post my results.

Range report

Took the 10mm FPC to the range today. I ran 90 rounds through it with one FTF that happened on the last round out of one of my 2.0 10mm mags. When I was loading the mags that came with the FPC, I noticed the springs were quite a bit stiffer than the 2.0 mags. I was actually pretty impressed there were no feeding issues with a brand new gun and mags. I was shooting 200 grain Berry’s plated FP over 8.2 grains Longshot. Average velocity was 1311 fps. The same ammo was running at 1131 fps avg. in my M1006 and 1095 fps avg. in my M1076.

I had some(operator induced) issues with my optic, which was an Ultradot. The reticule kept blinking out randomly between shots. Fixed that by tightening down the battery cover, then the view kept getting darker and darker…I didn’t realize it has a polarizing filter for sunlight, and it kept rotating slightly and getting darker after each shot…D’oh While I was having the optic issues, I did a couple mag dumps just sighting down the length of the pic rail and checking rapid fire function.

Once I got it all figured out and started making adjustments, it started to get really fun. My last mag of 15 made a ragged half dollar sized hole. This was at 42 ft., which is the max distance on the indoor range I was using. I can’t wait to get it to my outdoor club range and really put it through its paces.

Balance was good until I took the two full mags out of the buttock storage. Then it became fairly nose heavy and the recoil was a lot more pronounced, especially with the hard plastic butt. Other than that, I like the ergonomics and to me, it’s a comfortable and naturally pointing firearm.

I kept my brass segregated from my two third gen pistols just to see if there was any noticeable deformity or bulging, like Erik mentioned with the 10mm Banshee. This is all cheap range pickup brass that has been loaded at least twice before, and with a cursory inspection, I don’t see any major issues with it. I’ll run a mag of new Starline through it next range visit and see how it comes out. One thing I did notice about ejection, almost half of my brass ended up out in the range lane, but that’s why I use the cheap stuff where I have a good chance on losing it.
