Ok, so the name of the thread says it all. I have a picatinny sling adapter with a QD screw on my 15 22's front end between my bipod and my vertical grip. I had in mind to buy a sling a while back, and when I did, wound up using it for a different rifle that I own. Now my question is seeing how the MOE stock has no QD or metal sling attachements( not talking about the slots inthe stock).I was wondering what my fellow 15 22 owners would recommend for use on my rifle. I prefer the longer strap for having the rifle on my back as I walk, and if need be, it can be easily swung into position. My stock is a FDE MOE stock, and not the CTR version.

Im a fan of the slings with the metal snaps that mount on a sling slot(but at least in my searches anyway) I cant find one that has the metal snap on one end, and a regular strap on the other that would allow me to run it through the body of the MOE stock and use the plastics binders to hold it in place. Im sure they are out there, but I dont have alot of spare time to search for them.. and when I do have the time.. I forget to look for them lol. I love the bungie style slings as well, but a regular length one would do fine as well. Links or pics would be helpfull.

Re-reading your post I see that you like it on your back. The tube attachment lets it ride snug to my chest but probably won't have enough "swing" to ride piggy back. Here's another option if it interests you. Might call 'em to make sure it fits but it looks like it will. It's an extra $35 but would eliminate the need for a snap and would allow you use just about any sling you want while letting it ride where you want. The best of both worlds imo.

Midwest Industries QD 6 Position Rear Sling Adaptor M4 Carbine -

Never even knew those existed, but thats a serious contender to be my next purchase. Thanks for the link.

I'd just make one if it were my gun. Get a few inches of 550 para cord, feed it through the sling slot on the stock, and tie it off. Clip the sling to that.

I have the MOE rifle with the QD point above the grip, so when I get around to adding a sling I'm going to just tie a loop through the rail for a second attachment point. That MI adapter also looks like it would stick out a bit into your collarbone or something.

Hey guys, I've just begun the hunt for a single point sling for my 15-22. I would like to attach it to the buffer tube, but there does not appear to be a good place to attach one (I.E. no threading). I saw some dude on You Tube with one, but no idea who makes it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Has anyone installed a stud on the rear stock in place of the 1" metal slot/ring? The sling on my other rifle attaches with two studs in the stock. I could save a bit of cash by also using this sling. I can get a rail to stud mount cheap, but need something for the rear stock.
