Default Laser Boresight Recommendations?

Dialing both scope and reflex sight attached on top for my 15-22.

Any recommended laser boresights?
Any particular ones to stay away from?

I like the idea of universal for multiple gauges along with a green laser and not spend a lot of $$.

TIA

is it something you just want, or need? I never saw the point, you have to fire to see where your shots land anyway. then adjust your sight to where you're landing. try it first, should save you a bit of money. theres the common misconception that you need a boresighter to sight your weapon, so thats why i asked if it was just something you wanted, or thought you needed it. give this a view YouTube - Sight In Your Rifle in Two Shots - NSSF Shooting Sportscast

1. Zero the rifle with the iron sights. 50 yards is a good range based on the slow velocity of .22LR.

2. Mount your "dot" sight. Do not remove the iron sights. There is no reason to dismount or fold them. Looking thru the iron sights position the "dot" at the tip of the front sight. Done. Dot adjustments are "backwards" as their directions are for bullet strike adjustments. To move the dot left turn the adjustment "right."

3. Since a telescope will be higher off the bore you'll have to shoot it to zero it.

Lasers shoot straight lines. Bullets travel curved trajectories. If your rifle is iron sighted-in you should at least be on the paper regardless of what telescope you put on there. Adjustments after that are easy.

Actually don't want or need, imagine that
Just looking for solutions. Great info posted, I'll try those methods first. I have a bipod foregrip to help.
Gets a little more difficult since I have the reflex mounted atop the scope. I'm using the Troy micro battlesights since the rear sight fits under the scope.

Thnx!

Remove the upper from the lower, rest upper on a stable table or bench pointing at a wall 100 feet away.
Look through the barrel toward the wall and point at an obvious marker. (maybe put a sticker on the wall?)

Turn on red dot and adjust to this same point without moving the rifle.

Easy to do without a laser boresight on the M&P 15-22.

With that said, I have the one from Walmart and it works just fine.

This is one of those "why didn't I think of that" solutions that is perfect for the 15-22. With the rain here today, this gives me a way to sight my scope and dot without having to go outside.

No kidding about the "aha moment" and using the upper/barrel.

I put the upper/barrel on a table, a blue post-it on a far wall 50ft. away and lined it up with the barrel via simply looking through it. Easy as pie to just line up the red dot onto the post-it. Nice to see that my scope was also lined up minus the elevation for a greater distance.

Thanks!
