Brass catcher
Anyone know of a specific model number for a Caldwell brass catcher that fits the 15/22?

I have the AR rail Caldwell catcher.
Works great. However you do need to take it off and on for jams.
Holds a ton of rounds if benchrest shooting.
If youre going to be walking with it, some rounds fall out, fyi.

I have both the picatinny rail mounted Caldwell Brass Catcher, and the velcro Caldwall brass catcher (both referenced above).
The difference is night and day, although I do not think that the rail mounted is worth $45, when I have found them on sale for $24, I bought 3.
Each of my ARs (2x 15-22, 1x 556, 1x300 BO, 1x9mm) has the rail mount on it. It's an easy switch out from one platform to the other. Extra rail mounts are available.
As was mentioned, FTF/FTE are issues; also, some ranges want to see the bolt open, so you have to remove it. It's not an issue with the rail mounted version. It's an issue with the velcro version.
I had to jury rig the velco version to stay up with more than a magazine worth of 22 cases because the back end of the bag is not supported. The support structure with the rail mounted is much better; you can also choose where to 'mount' the rail portion to be in front of, or behind, scopes/sights. Can't do that with the velcro version.

Love these - bought the rail mounted one a few months ago and it's in constant service.
Means no cleaning up to do and no hot cases hitting me in the face... What's not to love?

I have the Velcro one I use for my 15-22 and never had a problem. I dump it when I reload, which is about four or five mags.

Where have you found them on sale for $24?
I could use a couple more myself.

Both Amazon and MidwayUSA had them on sale maybe 6 months ago.
CheaperThanDirt has them right now for $30, $33 from optics planet, and amazon $35. I'm sure that they will go on sale again, depending on how much you'd want to save $5-10

I have both as well. I found that I have more issues with the Velcro one, but it works. I agree that the rail mounted one has a better support structure. I swap it between my 15-22 and my AR-15. I usually use the Velcro one as a spare or if someone is shooting with me.
