Is the 15-22 Pistol less reliable than the rifle?
I've considered getting the 15-22 Pistol and using it with my existing rifle to build up a cheap little SBR for plinking.
I remember, however, that back when I initially researched my purchase of the rifle, I seemed to notice a lot more threads discussing reliability issues with the Pistol.
Is this the case? Is the pistol somehow less reliable because of the shorter barrel? Or are they about the same. Because I've had zero issues with my rifle through several thousand rounds, and I wouldnt want to go through all the paperwork just to get an SBR that would be unreliable.

It's not less reliable, just less accurate...no worries....just remember to pay the man and get your lower engraved and you're good to go.

good to hear guys, I may just go ahead with the pistol and do the SBR down the road if it looks like it would be a good setup

Short answer? Yes! The pistol is more ammo sensitive when it is new. The 6" barrel doesn't allow for enough backpressure to completely cycle the bolt.
You see quite a few 'trigger freezes' and sometimes a little burp of full auto when the hammer follows.
After about 1000 rounds my pistol settled down nicely, and the suppressor now makes it 100% reliable even with subsonic ammo.

Reliabilty ?
I've only shot the CCI Mini-Mags in my pistol and only because that's what I used in the rifle version but I've had no issues with my pistol. Reliability has been 100 percent to date, about 1000 rounds or so. I'm still thinking about SBR'en this pistol.

15-22P
Paulthesaffer. Which suppressor did you go with? So many out there , I'm still comparing I really like the G5-22 But the cost is to much.

Custom made to my specs. The gunsmith I use makes reflex silen... <uh> suppressors that outperform ASE Utras by about 20%. Has the reflex chamber and then 4 (in this case) 40mm K-type baffles. It screws onto the flash hider threads and protrudes 4" forward of the existing end of the flash hider.
Will post photos and maybe a Youtube vid. You hear the clicking of the hammer on the firing pin, and the bolt slapping closed.
We're playing around with a manual bolt lock to be able to fire and cycle manually... just because...

I have ran 3,000 plus, and haven't had any problems, might be I use mini mags.
