For awhile I have been wanting to alter the looks of my S&W 15-22 to more or less match the AR-15. The carry handle helped a lot, but the front site was, as far as I knew, unavailable. Finally, I came across a front sight for the 15-22!

It is an actual M16/Ar-15 forged steel front sight base "B" stamp. Slotted, drilled and tapped for the S&W 15-22! No shims, fillers, cutting, sawing or drilling is needed! It is ready to attach. And it is available through True Shot Technologies at
TRUE SHOT TECHNOLOGIES HOME PAGE
The MSRP is $55.00 + 8.00 shipping.

You can use the spring, detent and post from your own front sight or buy those items new. Mounting was a breeze! I took off the flash hider (compensator) slid the sight on my barrel, tightened the two screws and headed for the range. Sighted it in at 25 yards and worked like a charm! Next range trip I'll go for a 50 yard sighting.....

Thanks, Damon at True Shot Technologies, for all your help.

Excellent! This makes it quite a bit easier to do a front end conversion I imagine.

will it have a smaller post than the stock for the 15-22? compared to the post on some .223's ive shot i always thought the stock front sight post for the 15-22 was too big.

Taterscolt45, you can buy the standard AR-15 sight post for $1.99 on Amazon. The front sight base itself does not come with the sight post, spring and detent. True Shot Technologies can provide them, but at extra cost.

I bought mine (post, spring & detent) on Amazon, and total cost was $7.77. They were a perfect fit! :) And my baby shoots great!

how do i order one from them? it says that it is just a prototype

fsb diy

Just recieved the right size dealer for taking a .625 fsb to 15-22 barrel diameter. It worked out great.

i received the true shot front sight today. it was easy to put into service using the post and spring/ detent from the stock unit. it installed easily and allows a super long sight radius for more accurate shooting with a true free float handguard. nice product!
