Default Narrowed down to 3 red dots

I've got it narrowed down to 3 red dot sights, Primary Arms Microdot, Bushnell TRS-25, or the Vortex Strikefire. If somebody could post a pic of their 15-22 with flip up sights and the Vortex Strikefire, and just wondering how the weight compares, if it feels top heavy or not, thanks.

the strikefire doesnt match the other two. way too big for the 15-22. you should look at the Sparc if you want a Micro type of sight from Vortex. i have the the PA and love it. they pop up all the time on the AR classifieds for around $80-90 bucks.

Primary is the best way to go. Customer service is wonderful and it's decently priced, especially for a .22LR.

I run a TRS25 with a UTG medium profile riser for co-witnessing. I love it so far (I realize no one has really responded to your post).

All three you mentioned will work well on your 15-22.

I have two Primary Arms MicroDot sights, and a shooting buddy has the TRS. About the only differences are that Primary Arms offers a model that has a removable base, but the TRS only comes with a non removable base. What that means is that an AR specific riser (as designed like Aimpoint) can't be used on a TRS. As other have said, you'll have to get a generic riser for the TRS. The other difference is that the tube is slightly larger on the TRS. Other than that, they're the same as far as I can tell.

Vortex Strikefire is a fine sight. It has a bit larger 4MOA dot compared to the others at 3MOA. It has a lifetime warranty. At one time (maybe still does) it came with a 2x magnifier. I've looked through it and have found it worthless. It has an impressive 100MOA of adjustment if that's important to you. The TRS has 70MOA. The PA isn't rated but I'm guessing it has less.

Just my opinion, but I don't think there's a dime's worth of difference between them for the purpose of using on a 15-22.

All three can be purchased at Primary Arms. They run a first class operation. https://www.primaryarms.com/Red_Dot_Store_s/57.htm

Phill, what kind of iron sights are those? Can you use them with the micro dot on the gun?

With the co-witness, is one better than the other (1/3 vs full). This is my first AR type rifle. I looked through the Vortex Strikefire and Sparc tonite at the local gun shop, didn't like the Sparc at all, lense was way to blue compared to the Strikefire. Black Friday sale, I can get the Strikefire for 120.

I have the Vortex Strikefire mounted on my M&P 15-22, great sight for the money. It's not heavy at all IMO. I do own a PA micro mounted on another rifle for comparison.

You can't go wrong with either the Vortex Strikefire or even SightMark SM13041. Both are great RED DOT optics, since there is so little recoil on the M&P, they will work great. Vortex is a tad longer and heavier, SightMark is a 100% clone of the Aimpoint ML3. I even have the rubber protector for the SightMark (at RRages). It is great looking and works like a charm.. Good luck.

The TRS-25 has a $30 rebate right now so for $39 from amazon plus $8 for a utg riser you have a usable setup. I bought one just to play with, and it has received very good reviews - check nutnfancy's review on youtube.
