What barrel shrouds are on the market?
Hello, new here, sorry for the newb first post but I have searched and have noticed some 15-22s have no threads on the end, and some do, mine have a flashhider so I am guessing it has threads under?
Well I am looking for a barrel shroud, and would like to see what all is available on the market to purchase today that WILL WORK with my model 15-22 with a flash hider on end (of course ill get it removed for the barrel shroud, also question #2 not as important how do I remove the flashhider safely?)

I checked them out I book marked one that I liked.
INERT OUTBACK II SUPPRESSOR - Brownells
I really like that one, could anyone show me a pic of it on a gun where it sits and is positioned? And does this one screw on or is it designed of the barrel that dosnt have a flashhider?

I don't have that one, but it sounds like you prefer the simple and realistic look. Check out the Spikes Tactical CAR1. You can get it with or without the laser engraving and they sell an alignment shim set to get it just right.

The proper way to remove the flash hider on this rifle is to put the barrel in a vise with barrel blocks or an actual barrel vise and spin the flash hider counter-clockwise. Not doing so can result in a spun barrel or cracked receiver.

Ehh not the look I am going for *cries*
I wish barrel was little bit shorter then I would just get an aggressive flashhider!!! Does any standard flashhider fit on our guns? I want something aggressive but dont wanna spend much since I prob will get a spikes shroud eventually.
Or maybe I will just get 10rd mags if I can find them for cheap.
Heres my gun btw.

I am very picky and cant find a flash hider for less than what I want to pay.
I am prob going to ask the wrong question to the wrong person....but would an airsoft flash hider fit? I use to be into airsoft and high end airsoft stuff is very well made so figured I would ask.
Btw I am trying to build something similar to my airsoft gun with the supressor look but if I can find a cheap flashhider for now I wont complain:P

Sorry, can't help you; I don't know beans about Airsoft stuff. That said, standard AR-15/M4 flash hiders are available all over for under $20.
Muzzle brakes are another matter.

Yeah but that is likely due to weight since that steel comp is designed for a .22 pistol conversion kit for a 1911. Muzzle jump in .22 rifles is more a function of how and where you hold it that the comp. If you watch Jerry's speed demos on Impossible Shots you will see he is using a non threaded barrel on his AR15-22. Only real reason I use one on my speed competition PC model is the fact that some shot timers have a hard time picking up the sound of every shot out of a .22 rifle. So I use an AR one from Nordic with a couple of big ports on the side to make more noise. The most effective comps regardless of caliber are the multihole symmetrical ones, the very ones that TS and VQ normally sell on all their barrel kits. Of course they don't have that "cool" AR look to them. As for group size I seriously doubt it. Unless you are talking about extremely rapid fire, that style of comp will have no positive effect on group size. Except for its function as a barrel weight. If you want to get the groups size down use SV match ammo and stick a Limbsaver Barrel De-Resonator on it. And for a barrel weight get one of the VQ multihole rifle comps that come in steel.

Cheapest real comp runs about $35 (Nordic Tactical). If you want a flash hider any AR A2 model will work. The 10 round mags cost the same as the 25 round ones regardless of the type. Not sure why though at least for the real 10 round ones not the "pined" 25 round models. Seems like a slight rip-off.

You are welcome to doubt all you want. I know what happened to group sizes after the MB installation. Whatever the cause, weight or reduced muzzle jump or whatever, the sizes were reduced.

I am so excited to get my shroud I think I want some optics next not sure what I am going to go with, either eotech with magnifier (would be nice to be able to have something fast and then something accurate at longer distance. That or I will just get an acog style scope.

So let me get this right. If I replace the fake cans/barrel shrouds on my 15-22 n AR-15 with muzzle brakes I will get better accuracy/tighter groups? Or r u comparing shrouds n MB to none threaded barrels?

(1) there are no hard and fast rules; all you can do is try a change and see what happens.
(2) This is not Twitter; texting abbreviations are not necessary. Complete words are preferred.

1) Thanks for the reply, this is kinda what I thought just wanted to confirm.
2) Not being rude in any way shape or form but I don't Twitter or Facebook so don't know if they use abbreviations or not? I guess it is just habit from text messaging? I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone else and will try and not use it here again.

is this the flash suppressor you have on that guy?
Madbull Airsoft Gemtech HALO Barrel Extension - Mock Suppressors - Barrel Extensions - Accessories | Black Ops Airsoft Guns
if so i have a couple of questions.
1) i see on the website that it is meant for an air soft gun, would this work for a 22LR gun? in the sense that it would not over heat and or warp?
2) does it just go over the original birdcage break that comes with the M&P?
I apologize if my terminology isn't correct, i am new to the world of fire arms.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks.
