Default Gun Show Mag Report

Went to a gun show this morning in Stafford, TX. A company called Gunclips-R-Us located in Humble, TX had in incredible amount of magazines for AR's and semi auto pistols of every make and caliber. Yes, they were overpriced. I bought four 25 rd mags for $ 39.95 each The bin kept emptying and someone kept restocking it so they must have a lot of them.

I got my 15-22 a couple of weeks ago and didn't start looking for mags before it was too late. I only had the one 25rd mag that came with the gun. With four 10 round shorties coming from 44Mag, I feel like I'm set for now.

I will be calling S&W first thing Monday morning to cancell my order with them so somebody's order just got bumped up. I didn't have any realistic expectation of ever seeing them anyway.

The phone number for Gunclips-R-Us is 877-510-CLIP (2457) in case anyone wants to give them a call.

Good to hear that they are still available. Don't know if I can bring myself to buy magazines from a clip vendor......

I'm happy for you I'll be calling S&W first thing Monday morning to cancel my order after jacking me around over the phone about what they did and didn't have in stock. My order was place on 12/22 and I got through to customer service very early the day they reopened after the holidays and was lied to. So screw Smith&Wesson.

I didn't mean that to rub in your face or be a jerk BTW... was just saying that even in the hysteria I won't pay severely inflated prices and more importantly, S&W had 25 rounders at proper retail even when the website was saying they didn't and some reps saying they didn't. They are FDE mind you, but for me with an FDE MOE that is the color I wanted.

If I were you... I would keep that S&W in place. At $20 a mag, why not still buy them

FDE = flat dark earth

one of the key weapon colors you see.. BLK, OD, FDE, etc.

it is like a tan color like coyote but FDE is "suppose" to be a universal color match across all vendors. "Suppose".

Because I'll never get them.

Rip-off prices just annoy me. That being said, I'm sure I'll end up paying more the longer I stand my ground.

You will. Supply and Demand. Economics 101. And every hour the supply dwindles.

The local firearm magazine store up here (MN) has both a store front and goes to all the gun shows appears to understand his product better.

His company name is DK Mags.

Went to a gun show a few miles down the road today, AR mags were reasonable, ammo wasnt too bad, more AR's than I thought would be there. Found 2 S&W 15-22 mags in FDE for $74.99, wow, I just kept walking. Finally in a glass case buried under a bunch of other mags I found one black factory 25 round mag still in the wrapper for $30 even. Still too much but I figured what the heck. Our local gun shop has a shipment of 100 coming in a few days. My buddy has the hook up there and is going to snag me a couple. I have an order in to Ruger for 4 factory Ruger P-95 mags that who knows when will ship. Then yesterday I head to Clarksville Tenn/ Ft Campbell and hit 4 gun stores only to find one had a large supply of P-95 mags cheaper than the factory. I guess I should have shopped around more.
