buying/about to buy a 15-22P (I think)
Anyone have one for sale here before I pull the trigger on a deal tomorrow for one? Found a semi local seller who has one unfired NIB but for a premium price. Been looking for a while and they just don't seem to be anywhere around me - none at the LGSs, none at the shows, not even being shot at the ranges... Paying well over MSRP is rough but I guess it is "what I am willing to pay" after alot of searching for a gun no longer produced.
If you have one but aren't selling - at least tell me how awesome they are to make my ride tomorrow a little easier!

buying/about to buy a 15-22P (I think)
Hey,
Pls pardon me for not knowing, but a local guy has a 15-22 model 811062 for $600... Is that the same as a 22P? Or any better than your above-MSRP deal?
Just sharing in case it was an opportunity. PM me and I'll get you the details of where it's located and what the seller has shared with me so far...

Academy Sports here in concord nc has at least 6 in stock I think the were $479 somewhere in that range. Where do you live? Maybe you can call them and have it shipped to your local LGS to transfer it to you.

The OP is talking about a 15-22P not a 15-22. The 15-22P is the pistol version of the 15-22. It has no stock and a shorter barrel unlike the 15-22 rifle.
I've seen a few for sale all around the country and I've seen the price range from $800-$1200. I would love to have one.

Thanks guys... the 15-22p is much different than the 15-22 rifle, check out the archive link below. S&W only made these for 1 year (2010) and I think you guys are referring to a 15-22 rifle.
Thanks again,
Kacz

Could he not get a 15-22 and modify it a bit? Short barrel, chop the end off and etc? Just put some Iron sights or flip ups?

Yes, if he pays the $200 NFA tax for making an otherwise illegal firearm - BEFORE he modifies it. This presumes his state allows short-barrel rifles. A short barrel rifle is not the same, legally, as a pistol.

I am paying gunbroker prices I'll post more detail tomorrow when/if I have it in hand. I know you guys down in central FL are getting them for good prices but like I said - can't find one worth a damn around here. And also I've spoke to the seller several times and he seems stand up so I do believe him when he states it has never been fired, I'll know for sure tomorrow when I get my hands on it, that would make it much more worth while for me.

Sqhead:
Would you be willing to share the contact info for the LGS you mentioned? I'm also looking for a M&P 15-22P and would like to call them to see if they still have it and would be willing to ship. PM me.

I have one and it is fun as heck to shoot, you will not be disappointed in my opinion. I bought mine brand new when they first came out for $399 and have put a couple thousand rounds thru it.

15-22P
Due to the fact that they have been discontinued for some time now finding one the is still NIB unfired would command a higher than MSRP price. All depends on how bad you want one.
I was lucky to find one this time last year still unfired; it was on the display wall at a LGS with about an 1/8 of an inch of dust on it. They are a blast to shoot.

I emailed Academy Stores asking if they will ship to an FFL and their reply "At this time we are not offering FFL transfers out of our stores"

Did you bring it home?
Look in the thread " My other 22's " I posted pictures of my 15-22P and my PMR's. Awesome firearms.
Wish S&W would come out with a 22 WMR pistol.

Thanks, but I have one. I do have a friend that want's one but I don't think he wants to spend the gouge rate lol.
What street is it on....just in case? Maybe he's willing to negotiate down to an earthly figure.
edit,
Found the shop, they just sold it this morning and did get $750.00

Great find! Congrats! I would love to find one and be able to stay faithful to the M&P family. But I may need to stray to H&K. I just don't want to pay GB prices.
