I bought a new one yesterday and was thinking of the best and least expensive way to mount an optic so as to still be able to use the factory sights. I think I'd prefer the dot above the iron sights and shift my head down if I wanted to use them instead.
On my two Bushmaster AR's, I use a picatinny rail on the handle and an Aimpoint on that. I wondered about adding a handle to the 15-22 but then read about you guys talking about raised mounts and cantilevered mounts and started getting confused.
I'd likely use a TRS-25 that I also use on a Buckmark pistol or maybe just buy a second one.
