Have u tried kns website directly? I saw them in stock the other day.

Ok so there are two different descriptions.. Not sure why? They look different also..

M&P15-22 Non-Rotate Trigger/Hammer Pins (GEN 2 MOD 2) Black

and

M&P15-22 Non-Rotate Trigger/Hammer Pins (GEN 2) Black

What is the difference? Does it matter?

EDIT... Found the answer..

There is no strength difference between the Gen 2 and Gen 2 Mod 2 sideplates. The only difference is cosmetic.

Question time...

If my 15-22 is having no problems, and I don't plan on changing out the fire control group, is there any real benefit to getting these?

No reason to at all. I will say they do kinda look cool when installed but if I had not planned on getting a new drop in trigger setup that says to use these I would not have bothered.

Reading some of the other post, they do have a tendency to walk out. It's always to be safe than sorry.

I have about 6700 rounds down range since last Christmas with only one problem. And that was that my bolt needed a blast of compressed air. I may get the pin kit to keep on hand just in case something happens later.

Yeah, I guess it couldn't hurt... I am just looking forward to my new trigger.. Cant decide on the CMC or Timney...

What the KNS kit is really designed to do it eliminate the pins wearing away the hole and making it larger. This is an issue even the military knows about with regular ARs and alloy receivers. Just using some of the other type pins with the E-clips on the end is not going to help that out. Those type are O PK for eliminating the pins "walking" but not the wear. Just remember to buy the AR15-22 specific versions because the regular AR versions won't work due to the thicker receiver of the S&W. I use the Gen 2 Mod 2 type on both my ARs and AR15-22s

I put a set of GenII Mod II's (black) on my rifle, but pulled them when I dropped in a Geissele SD3G trigger. Bill Geissele speaks unfavorably of any pins other than the ones supplied with his triggers, so they sit in a box with lots of other goodies that,at one point or another, I just HAD to have on my rifle. If I ever have a problem with my trigger pins wallking or wearing, I'll post it on this forum.
