Common solution to making the front sight post easier to see, especially on dark backgrounds, was to paint it with white out or glow in the dark model paint.

Easy to take off, easy to repair if it gets scratched, makes sure that 360 degrees is colored.

We used to do this in the Army.

I recently purchased and installed the exact front sight post in my magpul gen 2 mbus. It was very easy to remove the old fsp, and just as easy to install the meprolight. I used a a1/a2 front sight adjustment tool. The sight is easy to acquire in low light and dark conditions, and took about 5 minutes in total to install, including opening the package.
