What mags would u recommend, going to pick a few up, also where to get them/ best price?

Going to put either a TRS-25 or Primary Arms Micro Dot on it. What height mount would u go with?

What ammo would u recommend?

Thanks Bill

good questions Just got mine and was wondering the same...

I had the TRS-25 and used the .80 riser for co-witness with my sights. For mags, either the factory mags ( from S&W or somewhere like Midway when they're in stock.)...or if you can find the 32 round ProMags, they work great too. I have some extra ProMag 32 rounders for sale, brand new in package. If interested, send me a PM.

Factory mags are going to be the best. can be purchased at many gun shops, online and in store. Most major chains will have them (cabela's, sheels, etc, although not always in stock).

For ammo.... that's a tricky question to answer. Every gun being a little different behaves different with ammo. Some will shoot anything and everything, some are more particular. You'll just have to buy a bunch of different brands/types (different weight, fmj/hp, FPS) and see what flies down your barrel. Having that said, pretty much everybody does well with CCI mini-mags - that's the safest ammo I can point you in the direction of.

Have fun!

Would u add a shroud? If so what brand for threaded barrel? Do it affect accuracy?

Factory Mags. S&W M&P 15-22 are considered some of the best .22 mags on the market for an AR style rifle. 44Mag.com or wherever you can find them.

Mine loves Federal Bulk and CCI 40 grain. Hates Remington.

Why would you want a barrel shroud? If you really want one, check out Spike's Tactical and get their washer kit so you can line up the text. Tighten it down and you'll be fine.

PA Micro Dot. PA QD Riser in the drop down will be fine.

Factory S&W mags only from whoever has them.
Ammo is all over the place (if you can find it) Try a bunch of brands and see what your rifle likes.

Picked up 3 - 25 round factory mags today, should get the gun in 2 weeks, then I'll just need my optics trs25 or primary arms micro & hogue grip for now

Sounds like a good start. As for ammo, you'll have to experiment. One other poster said his like CCI and hates Remington. Mine seems to love Remington, and as usual likes CCI. Buy some 50 round boxes of different stuff and try it all out to see which yours prefers. The one universal 'reliable' ammo seems to be CCI...SV, MM, AR Tactical if you can find it. They all work well in pretty much everyone's 15-22.
