Hey guys, recently put on a barrel shroud for a threaded muzzle. There's about 1/4 inch of threads on the shroud that weren't used. As they will be exposed to muzzle blast, could they interfere with accuracy? Also I am thinking they could suffer erosion after a high round count?
Probably no big deal but something I wanted to throw out there.
Thanks

Shouldn't be any worse than a flash suppressor or muzzle break, depending on the material used for the shroud.

Shouldn't affect accuracy..

Does it sit that hight because you left the crush washer on after you removed the flash hider?

Actually that's with no crush washer or shims. Twisted onto the bare barrel.

Cool, was hoping to hear this.

It should be about 1/8 inch since the thread length in the shroud is 3/4 and the threads on the barrel are 5/8 long. The shroud is designed like that to protect the muzzle. The shrouds are hard anodized, so they are very tough and should resist "erosion" as well as the barrel will.
