Magpul AFG On The Ban List Here
Stopped into my LGS this weekend in CT. to pick up a few things and showed a pic to them of my 15-22 with the A2 handle, Magpul rail covers and a Magpul AFG on it. They said I should take the AFG off because they consider it a vertical grip. Will this BS ever end here.

 Last time I checked, vertical was 90° to the perpendicular! Not sloping at 30° or so!

Ct. gun laws ................. punish the law abiding gun owner. And the anti`s and criminals blame the good guys for crime.
Sorry for my outburst but it saddens and sickens me.

Who is the "they" who considers the AFG a vertical grip? Whoever told you this doesn't know what they are talking about. Connecticut law does not consider the AFG to be a vertical grip and it is perfectly legal.
Don't believe everything some gun shop clerk tells you.

Sadly for the most part it seems that you can't believe anything some gun shop clerks tell you. Especially about legal matters.

WOW! What a nightmare!
What hope is there for you guys to keep legal if the guys who "sell" and "advise" you as to what you can and can't have in your state don't even know themselves what you should and should not have attached.
Upside for us in the UK once you can persuade the authorities that there is a "reason" to own a rifle and they issue your ticket with permission to purchase said rifle and mod you can pretty much strap what you want on it and no mag restriction to 10rds either.
Chip up! Am sure you will eventually get the right info for what you want.

You should hear some of the bad advice given by dealers in regards to Class III weapons. You'd like to think those that stand to profit would be more knowledgeable, or at least wouldn't tell you something blatantly wrong that prevents you from spending money. Too bad that's not the case in all circumstances.
