After reading this thread, I ordered a kit, which I just received with the CMC trigger. I also was one of the very first that ordered a Slidefire when they first came out, and it worked like new money on my S&W. This new stock is a different design from the original, looks better, and about half the price for the kit than for the original. Guess I will go ahead and order one for my daughter, she had shot my original AR-15 22--- and HAD to have it, ''Daddy, please, please give this to me''.

Yes, the one out now is ver 2.0, and ver 3.0 is about to come out that is why the cheaper price I would assume.

I got my kit in yesterday! I installed the trigger and stock today. It was much easier to install the trigger than I had expected.
I havent been able to get the original flash hider off just yet but I couldnt resist trying out the Slide Fire stock. Works pretty well without too much practice.
Thanks again OP for the good find.

This is the link for the special CMC pins for the 15-22.

Am I correct in assuming the pins that come with the Grab a Gun kit are the correct ones? Not sure if you're saying only if you bought the trigger separately you need to buy the longer pins, or everyone who ordered the Grab a gun kit needs to buy the longer pins.
Thanks!

This Grab a Gun kit for the M&P 15/22 comes with the correct pins for the 15/22. If you bought the trigger separately you might need the 15/22 pins, not sure on that one.

Thank you. I posted the sale link on my local forum, and someone asked about the pins. I didn't know, so I came back here to ask the experts. Thanks, again! Btw, my kit is scheduled to be here Thursday.

I got my kit a few weeks ago. It was easy to install. It's been to freakin cold in Wisconsin lately to get out to the range to try it. Hopefully this weekend.....

Back again to ask the experts. Got both boxes today, kit and 2 drum mags. Got everything installed on rifle but recoil enhancer. Doing that tomorrow with someone that has a barrel clamp tool. CMC trigger kit had 4 c clamps. Youtube video said use 2 clamps with each pin. Not possible. With one clamp installed, there isn't enough play to add another.
Btw, that CMC trigger is SWEEEEET!

These instructions came right off of Slidefire's website regarding the trigger:
Part Number: 13-0102
The 3.5lb Pull Trigger Group has a curved, single stage action trigger that is a totally self-contained, one piece assembly. This revolutionary design will give you superior trigger performance and installs in minutes.
Recommended for the S&W M&P 15-22 with the SSAR-15 Slide Fire Stock.
Specs:
3.5 lb Pull, Single Stage Action
Curved Trigger, Standard Size Pins
Includes:
(1) Trigger Group
(2) Assembly Pins for S&W M&P 15-22
(4) E-Clips (2 required for assembly)

I just got my slide fire in today. Order it on Feb 15th and it arrived today on the 20th. It did come with the CMC trigger for anyone wondering.
Now I have a few questions:
Did you guys use all 4 of the "C" clamps to install the trigger? I only put one on each pin and there isn't play available to add the 2nd clamp. The instructions on the trigger package says that only 2 are required for assembly, but most of the reviews say to install all 4.
How much would a gun shop charge me to install the recoil enhancer? I don't have a vice or clamps to install it myself, but I assume any gun shop should be able to install it in less than 5 mins. It's a matter of how much they'll charge me for it.
Lastly, have any of you installed a buttpad on the slidefire stock? If so, which brand? I haven't even fired it yet with the slidefire but I would prefer something on the back to help the butt stay on my shoulder and not move around as much.
Thanks in advance

Your first question was just answered by the posts directly above yours. I even posted pics of it.
With regards to a gun shop installing the recoil enhancer for you, call around your area and see. I would expect to pay no more than $10 bucks for a simple 5min. job. Anymore is simply highway robbery. Try to see if you could turn your FH by hand. I was surprised mine was just hand tight when I took it off and replaced it with the recoil enhancer.
The only buttpad I know or I have seen that will fit this correctly is the one that Slidefire offers. SSAR-15 SBS Recoil Pad | Slide Fire® - Superior Performance Gun Stocks
At $12.95, you are guaranteed it will fit and match it correctly.

Its the trifecta,
1) ATF Bans the pistol brace
2) Slide Fire comes out with a new version
3) Slidefire sues Bump Fire ad Bump fire publisises it to increase sales.
I think slide fire is just covering all their bases with just one simple solution. Off load at a huge discount. I dont want to be stuck with last years model at what seemed like a discount but without knowing the price point of the new version its hard to say.
I bought one but plan to off load it asap. As it is I burn through houndred's of rounds everytime I play with my 15-22. This thing would brake me.

I see your point. But you gotta remember, it's not Slidefire itself that's selling these kits at that deep discounted price, but Grabagun. In fact, Slidefire is still selling the kit at $399.95 on their website.

The pistol arm brace has not been banned. They are still for sale everywhere. They did say you can't shoulder them and magically morph your pistol into an SBR.

I just had my FH removed and my recoil enhancer installed by my local shop. They charged me $5.

However if you had a favorite retailor that you built a good relationship with you could easily give them your overstock and have them sell it at what would look like a loss to other retailors. (Especialy if there was reason to be concerned) Anotherwords. If you dont have a price lock then the retailor can sell it for whatever he wants and all retailors pay the same amount.
Obviusly something is going on here and I think it could easily be the situation I have outlined above or any of the other two possabilities.
Panick buying is something we are all used to seeing in the gun and ammo trades but now it could be panik selling!!! how great is to finnaly be on the winning side of things.

Unless BATF is about to reverse its stance and Grab-A-Gun has inside information. Wouldn't think so since v.3 of SF is on the horizon, but you never know.

If you have someone remove the flash hider, make sure they know to clamp the barrel... not the upper. This is not a metal AR & the gun can be ruined by clamping incorrectly. Do not assume a gun shop knows this or has the proper tools.
I believe a 15-22 owner needs the ability to remove their barrel, so I recommend getting the Tacticool barrel nut tool & barrel vise. This way, you can remove your own flash hider and/or barrel & know it was done properly.

No need to buy the tool. Simply google barrel vise. You probably have the ability to do it on your own with tools you ahvent thought of.
Here is the process.
1) Clamp barrel without marring it. I.E. Wooden block with slgihtly smaller hole then the barrel diameter in a vice etc. I used a towel inside a vice grip to hold the barrel but I wouldnt reccomend this unless your used to using tools alot!!! Its easy to marr the barrel. Then once the barrel is clamped just use your standard crescent wrench to take off the flash hider. Then install recoil enhancer.
Its very simple and can be done simply. It is a gun but dont over think the process its just a simple R&R. (Remove and replace)

I hope that's what it's like. I didn't know if gun shops have a "shop hours" policies like some other places do. Like "minimum time is 1 hour regardless of the work done." And have that hour of labor or lack there of cost me $50 because that's what their rate is

Thanks, I guess I should have read the last few posts before posting. I ordered the Slidefire buttpad. It was actually cheapest from their website.

I literally walked in with the gun, he took it from me and went in the back room. 2 minutes later he came back out with FH off and RE installed. "Here ya go, that'll be $5 bucks".
Done.
But I do agree with the Redneck. We should do this ourselves.

I was charged $10 at one of my local shops after the guys at the counter said they wouldn't touch it since it's plastic. 60 sec debate by all 3 of the guys working at the counter, then the gunsmith came out and was like, "Ah, that's too easy, I'll knock it out right now."

Received my kit yesterday, installed it last night, easy installation, race is tomorrow so won't get to shoot it until next weekend, but the grandson come down sick today so next weekend works. Just ordered the butt pad, wanted to see what the stock was like first. CMC trigger feels very good. Is there anything else I can spend money on, on this thing. I have a wife and 3 daughters and I think this 15/22 is out pacing the four of them. Oh, wait, Tacticool is still on my list and oh yeah, suppressors, and, maybe another one with, oh whatever.

Love reading the updates you all have posted on the kit.
That price is absolutely brilliant and I am very envious of you all.
Such a shame can't get here in UK.
So it seems there will be no comparison threads from this side of the pond. :-(

Don't be shy about letting it go.... Am sure there will be plenty of interest.
Look forward to seeing that one come up.

Tried it today. Going to take a little practice to do a 50rd mag dump. Had best luck pushing forward from behind the mag. Both drums were 100% reliable, even with hollow points, which the manual advises against. Had a few feeding jams with the 25 rd mags which had been completely reliable under normal shooting. Btw, that CMC trigger is SWEET! Just over 3lbs.

Stupid question on the install of the muzzle brake.
Do I need to reinstall the spacer with the slidefire break?
If yes, which direction?
Thanks

AFAIK, the crush washer concave faces the muzzle break, OR, in other words away from the shooter.... AND IMHO, in most cases its just serves as a way to "time" the muzzle break to the correct orientation, so if the slide-fire compensator in the same all the way around, IMHO, no you don't need it....YMMV.

I recently purchased this kit from grab a gun and since I only live 20 minutes from Slidefire I exchanged it with a left handed model from them directly. No questions asked the front receptionist just walked in the back and came out with a new one. I also decided to order a second one this morning knowing that grab a gun would be shut down today because of the weather, their website told me. About 2 hours later I get an email with a tracking confirmation from UPS, are these guys great or what? I bought the second one so I could use the trigger on my Sport and have the stock for my friends to use.

I ordered one of these danged things this weekend & already have a tracking number.
I don't know why I got one as it really doesn't interest me however the price was just too good to pass on... like when they were selling 15-22s for $299. Even if I don't use the stock, I can find a home for the trigger.
Anyone have experience shooting subsonic ammo suppressed with one of these?
Also anyone compared using the 50 round drum as opposed to magazines. One review I saw stated it functioned better with the drum than magazines.

I must concur. I think the drum performs better that any mag I have and I have about all of them.

So that is where I read it.
I did see another video review where the guy was using standard magazines but also said pushing out on the mag well seemed to work best.

I've tried calling Slide fire 3 times this week, but no one will return my calls. Just wanted to ask a simple question. Want to verify that this stock will work on my AR-15. I saw on page one of this thread mentions of using it on AR-15s. Just wanting to verify that I can use it as is on my Spikes AR-15.
Thanks!

Standard mil-spec buffer tube? It'll work. It's the same one they sell for AR-15s right down to the part number. I change mine back and forth all the time and I have one of each (the one sold for the AR-15 which is what I had forever trading between both until I bought the 15/22 kit about a month ago).

Thanks, guys. I had checked the web site and was pretty sure it was the same stock. I just wanted to verify it. My local outdoor range has Full Auto day once a month, and I thought about putting in on my AR-15 for that day.
Thanks again!

Dang missed it , they are OOS at the movement. Hope they get some more in at that price... I was just about to buy the $99 one but think I will wait a bit and see if these come back in stock.

Got to shoot the slide fire last weekend, worked like a champ. We put over 600 rounds through the gun, 25 rd mags and 50 rd blackdog drum. CCI, American Eagle, Remington Goldens, gun ate all of them. Had 3 or 4 FTE towards the end but I haven't cleaned the gun since the initial cleaning after buying it as I wanted to see how far I could get. Round count is close to 1600 so I'm going to clean it and put the slidefire away until ammo is more available as this thing eats ammo in a hurry, but the trigger is great and that's what I wanted anyway.

Best Smoking Hot deal in the Country right now! Got me one. Ordered on a Fri, and got it the next Mon. Unbelievable good deal! Standard SlideFire SBS stock and CMC #91501 trigger. Except for the longer pins for the 15-22, both stock and trigger group fit both the 15-22 and AR's. Captive FCG pins for a alloy AR lower are easy to get. CMC or KNS.
Grab-a-Gun gave us a "Homerun" on this deal! I am in Texas and had to pay 8.25% tax, BUT it was still a "Steal". Get yours now!

OOS, it was a great deal while it lasted! Probably won't see this price again.
