Looking for buffer tube adapter for 15-22 pistol
I am looking for a source for a buffer tube adapter to attach a KAK buffer tube and Shockwave brace. Does anyone know where I can get one of these?

There isn't one available. I had a friend turn me one out if 1" steel rod and I cut the threads off a pistol buffer tube for mine.

I also ground a little off of my bolt to clear the head of the scree that holds the adapter to the lower receiver.

Mine wears a Sig brace. I think that the Shockwave Blade will look great. One of my friends has one on his 300 Blackout pistol.

Thanks for the info. I know that there used to be one available. I could always have one made like you did, but I guess I was hoping that there was still some floating around.

This is probably the one you were thinking used to be available: Smith Wesson 15-22 pistol butt stock mod full auto
I don't think many were ever made/sold. The one ShawnR5 had made looks better I think.
I used an airsoft knock-off of a law tactical folding adapter. I had to modify the lower slightly so the end plate protrusion would fit and stop any rotation. I also used the QD disconnect from the 15-22P to attach it to the receiver, just had to get a slightly longer screw. The folding adapter is a little bigger overall and doesn't fit perfect like it would on a regular AR, and it does add some length. But overall I like it.
The adapter I used is here: Airsoft Folding Stock Adapter
The album of pictures that shows how I put it together is here: 15-22 Pistol Folding Adapter

So being Canadian, I dont know much about your laws. Are you adding a stock to a pistol to get around the sbr tax stamp?
Seems to me it would be easier just to buy a rifle and pistol version.
Up here, the 15-22 is restricted being an AR verient.
Thus it has the same laws as pistols.
We can have any length rifle with a barrel over 4" with a factory made barrel. We cant personally cut our barrels shorter than 18.5" So we have silly laws too!

The one ShawnR5 has looks like an SBR, but the brace isn't actually stock, so it's not an SBR. Unless you shoulder it...maybe...
For me, I have a 15-22 and a 15-22P. I wanted to see what it would take to put a folding stock on the 15-22, so I got the folding stock adapter. It fit pretty well using the 15-22P QD adapter to hold the folding adapter in place. I then filed a form 1 for the SBR and can use either the pistol or rifle upper with or without a stock, folded or not.

This would be more work, but would be cleaner. You could turn an adapter like mine but just have a 1/8" plate on the back and weld a folder mechanism to the plate. That way you wouldn't add unnecessary length of pull. An ACE folder would look very good.

I would like to set mine up with a Shockwave but I wont be grinding down my bolt or doing some crude machining. May have to seek out a good gunsmith.
