Aguila Interceptor
Can a 15-22 handle this ammo safely?

I dont know personaly, but everything I'm reading about it recommends it to be used in bolt action rifles and that guys who are trying it in semiautos are saying that you need a new buffer and that it can loosen the pins (in their 10/22's)... I haven't seen anything yet from someone who has tried out of their M&P 15-22...

Yes I have put about 1500 of them down range along with CCI Velocitor. My 15-22 loves them.

Another thing to consider is whether you have a standard 15-22 or a performance center version. I think the pc version has a tighter match chamber. As I recall cci stingers are not recommended in those rifles because the cartridge casing is slightly longer. I would presume that the aguila ammunition that was mentioned by the op is similar

No the interceptor is a standard casing just like the Velocitor. The Aguila Supermaxium is a longer casing like the Stinger. It should be fine in which ever model you have.

I wanted to stop in here nad say that out of over 30 ammos I have been testing for almost 2 years that the interceptor is by far the most accurate out past 50yds. There are some that are more accurate at 25 and 50yds but not at 75 and 100. My gun eats up interceptors, super maximums, velocitors and stingers with no problems. I do not have the performance center version.
Just my .02 try out some interceptors you will love them. The rabbits and coyotes dont seem to like them though.
Sorry for the late reply.

So you're using a standard m&p 15-22?

I am a big fan of the Aguila brand .22 ammo. I shoot my 15-22 sport suppressed, mainly because I shoot critters in the middle of the night, and want to be respectful to my neighbors. The Aguila Rifle Match, Aguila Subsonic, and Aguila Super Extra Standard Velocity all work very well, and deliver good accuracy. It's weird....I will sight in my rifle with the Aguila Rifle Match, and then run some Federal or Remington .22 ammo through it, and all I get is fliers....high and to the left. I'm sticking with the Aguila ammo. I haven't run any CCI ammo through it yet. After this thread, though, I am anxious to try the Intercepter ammo because of what rbpwrd240 said — many of my shots are 50 - 70 meters, and when hunting critters (armadillos and possums), head shots are important. If the Intercepter provides better accuracy at the longer ranges, then it's worth a shot.

My gun isnt stock,
Although I did run interceptors when it was stock at this point I have the Slide fire stock with recoil enhancer and cmc 3lb trigger. I also have a volquarstein extractor and a realy nice CQB scope with .22lr BDC compensator. Im ususlay shooting at night so I have a GPS-02 front Grip/Bi-pod and a pressure light using a sure fire flashlight mounted off the front of the gun. I use a few salem 6 mags coupled together for hunting.
To the other Aguila ammo lover make sure you try some CCI, Mine loves the mini mags in full auto mode with a black dog drum. Great reliable 50 round mag dumps.

So the Interceptors have caused no problems with internals...bolt, springs, buffer, etc.?
