I would like to replace my stock M&P 15-22 trigger with a binary trigger from Franklin Armory. BFSIII AR-C1 is the model # I think I need. Description on package says " Works in most AR platforms and calibers including : 5.56 Nato, .308 Win, 300BLK, 9mm, Rimfire, etc... "
Does anyone know for sure, is this the trigger I need? What I guess Im asking is, Will an AR -15 trigger work in the M&P 15-22? I hate to pay $400+ for a trigger and have it not fit.

Thanks in advance

Any AR trigger will fit in the 15-22. The receiver sides are thicker than on a metal receiver so the pins look a little short but they will be OK. The only problem I have run into is the hammer spring strength. It takes more oomph to ignite a rimfire cartridge and not all aftermarket drop in triggers will work reliably with all ammo. Cannot say if the Franklin binary will be reliable or not.

I have that trigger in my 15-22. Fits just fine. It comes pre assembled with slave pins installed.
drop it in and push the standard 15-22 pins in.

This guy uses it and likes it.

I'd go with the Fostech II instead of the Franklin myself. For just a little more you can get the best one on the market and have one that won't "outrun" the bolt with the correct buffer. That would annoy me?

I agree with the Fostech for the over run issue. But the Fostech requires a full auto bolt carrier. I am not sure if the .22 carrier would be compatible.

Could not get the Fostec to run in my M&P 15.Franklin Armory works fine. You have to carefully remove one of the selector stops on the receiver, other than that it drops right in.

I just ran into the same situation with the safety stops. Did you just grind them off with a Dremel or something like that? I imagine after removing the stops that is no longer black, did you use something to hide that?

The lower is pure plastic. If the stop was milled, it would still be black plastic.

I used a Dremel with a very fine wheel. I did not use the wheel part, I used the flat part instead very carefully.Applied a little oil and you cannot tell it was ground.

I think the Franklin Armory Binary Trigger for the 15-22 is a solid upgrade if you're looking for some fun with your rifle. It’s super easy to install, and when you get the hang of it, it enhances the shooting experience with that "bang-bang" feel. I’ve heard good things about it from other users too; they mention it makes a difference in speed, especially for target shooting or just having fun at the range. That being said, just make sure you’re complying with local laws, because some states have regulations on these types of triggers. If you’re working on a build, you might want to check out 80% Frames | Husky Armory for some solid options.
