Anyone use Stingers in the MP15-22?
Any experience with Hyper Velocity ammo for self defense, hunting or target shooting?
What ammo have you tested for self defense rounds like Federal Punch?
What cycles in your rifle?

Every standard velocity and above works in mine. I have a suppressor on it too. Better choices exist than 22lr but it beats a sharp stick as the saying goes.

I tried everything through wife's older mfg/2012, MP15-22. Stinger's as usual, didn't group the best, too fast for that light bullet. The CCI Mini Mags yielded a thumbnail size group at 50yds. They are also most accurate in my '78 Sporter Deluxe 10/22 and '85 Marlin 60. Stick with the Mini Mags.

My 1522 shoots Stingers and Velocitors as well as it does most ammo. It shoots none of them anything close to match grade. BUT it was my weapon of choice, when I lived on an acreage, to fend off the onslaught of raccoons, possums, feral cats and skunks. With a light and laser on it, it was deadly on any and all of the night raiders.

Stinger has a longer case than other .22LR. Causes problems in some designs, others not. Test before you rely on it.

Mine shoots them well but not as accurate at 50 yards as 40 grain round nose bullets.

If I recall you can't use stingers in the performance center models.
