Dirty. It’ll usually go bang every time though. Not my #1 choice.

Last fifty rounds (actually 40 or so) came from a range customer, he couldn’t get it to fire in his P322. I gave him a recommendation and he bought some. He then asked me if I wanted what was left of the Armscor.

I thanked him and ran it through my G44, like Mikey in the cereal commercial of ancient times it’ll eat anything.

This week I just ran around 300 thru my 15-22 Performance Center. Anyone who has had a 15-22 PC knows they shoot supper accurate but are very finicky as to what they will run. Just to be clear I was using Armscor 22LR 40GR High Velocity Solid Point. I've got about 4K rounds thru my 15-22 PC and found it prefers 40GR Round or Solid Nose. It will not shoot HP reliably of any manufacturer. I also have lots of luck with CCI Mini_Mag Target. Again, its 40GR Round Nose. The only down side to the Armscor is that it is dirty. I mean yes, 22LR is a dirty round in general, but DAMN! They are also dirty to the touch, almost sticky.

I too bought a case of 5000 SV from Outdoor Limited. To date, I have shot it in S&W 17, 617, 41 and Colt Trooper with few problems. No dirtier than the various CCI or Federal products I shoot. I experienced an average of 5 FTF per 500 rounds, the majority of which fired when rotated and struck again.

One important note: the brass case is softer than brass in other 22 ammo I use and has been extremely reliable when shooting DA in my 17 and 617 and Colt Trooper. Deeper DA firing pin impressions on case than on CCI and Federal ammo. It has become my go to 22 ammo for DA revolver practice and have purchase more.

I have the 15-22 Performance Center, which is the model most associated with problems. I was running CCI Mini Mag Target for better part of a year. I found an amazing deal on Amscor High Velocity Solid Point 40 Grain. (Not to be confused with Standard Velocity Solid Point 40 Grain) Since I also have a Glock 44 which will eat just about anything you throw at it. I purchased 5K at an amazingly low price about 6 months ago. Between my wife and I (yes we both have a 15-22 PC) We are down to about 600 rounds. Verdict: Tight groups, no failure to feed or Failure to Fire or Stovepipes. Much dirtier than CCI Mini Mag Target. But as one person already what is a little cleaning going to do to you? I will say, I have gotten into the habit of squirting a small squirt of CLP before we start shooting. I break down the guns to parade rest and clean lower/upper. I break down the BCG and run it thru my Ultra Sonic Cleaner after about 1000 rounds. Which is after only a couple trips to the range. Lets face it, all 22LR is dirty.

Back in 2015, when .22 was non-existent on store shelves, Cabelas had an online deal on 5,000 round bricks of Armscor. Just a hair over $150 with tax. Yes - less than $1.50 a box. Seemed steep at the time, but it was all they offered. Nine years later, I still have 35 boxes left. Never had a feed, ejection, or fire problem with any except in my PX-22, which seems to only like high speed CCI and Aguila.

Dirty? Yes. Reliable? Yes. The local Rural King had a couple of hundred 50 round boxes of the HV on sale on their shelves two weeks ago - under $3.00, and WV no longer has sales tax on ammo. I was so tempted to grab 20 boxes, but told myself no - I still have 2,000 bulk rounds of Winchester to use up, and at least 2,000+ each of CCI and Aguila for reserve. Should have bought them anyway.

My range buddy bought some of that ammo . Now we shoot every Tuesday , so we go through a lot of ammo . My buddy usually shoots a lot of 22 , but since I got my 29-3 Silhouette , it's 44mag . We've shot a lot of 22 ammo , and to tell you the truth the Armscor stuff shoots pretty accurately . All I can tell you is my experience with it , and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it . As a matter of fact it was recently on sale and both myself and my buddy bought more of it .

Fortunately, for the time being, there is a plentiful supply of quality 22 LR ammunition available from a variety of manufacturers in the USA and Europe.
In the former category, there is CCI, Federal, and maybe a couple others (Remington on a good day, for example). In the latter category there is Eley, SK, RWS, Lapua and a couple others.

Why purchase poor quality .22 LR ammo from a backwards third world country?
Every purchase I make is, for me, an opportunity to think about where my hard earned dollars are going. It’s good for our country, good for our economy, and, to be honest, it’s good to bring out the best performance from our firearms.

I have to say I do not know if armscor 22lr is made in the USA or not But most of there ammo used in the USA is made here in one of 3 different ammo plants in the USA . This includes 22mag ammo also sold under an in house brand - American Quality Ammunition that works well enough in my Henry 24" Frontiersman to make head shots on ground hogs at 150 yards with the help of a 4-14 scope .

For a 22lr rifle , no ar15 want-a-be 22lr I keep some bargain brand 22 ammo around for our daughters or grandkids to shoot for fun on our range . Norma tac-22 is one low priced brand at the time was 2.10 a box but closer to $3.00 a box today .

I also have a few bricks of aguila 22lr lead standard velocity at just under $3.00 a box thats reliable decently accurate for fun shooting .Now this is what you might whine about as mine states its mexican made !!

I mostly shoot German made 22lr standard velocity SK match 22lr and federal 711b .

The 22lr ammo I shoot most often is federal 711B and a brick of this is closer to $45.00 currently or $4.50 a box at our local general store . This ammo is several different 22lr rifles , good enough in 2 for moa groups , or 1" at 100 yards with the lot number I have . Subject to change with a different lot number !!

Better groups size does cost more money so you draw the line for your cost .
