Default Absolutely Simply WOW! M&P9c

I know the big buzz is about the M&P9 Shield and while I am impressed with that I wanted to post about my new acquisition, my M&P9c.

I had a G26 and never really did warm to it. It functioned flawlessly and it was properly small but not in the right areas. The M&P9c is just in between the G26 and the G19 in size and with the thumb extension on the magazine it makes it as close to a perfect fit as any compact or subcompact I've ever shot. 12-round magazines gives it 2 more than the 26 but 3 less than the 19 and even wearing OWB it disappears nicely under just a loose t-shirt.

200-300 rounds in one evening and I was just amazed at how much fun it was to shoot. No typical sub-compact pain from having too little gun to hold on to while shooting and groupings were very good at 15 yards. I am not a precision shooter so I know the gun is much more capable than what I was able to get out of it, but I would easily shoot this little gun in one of my monthly IDPA matches something I wouldn't have ever thought of with my G26.

All in all in one evening this little gun became at the least my 2nd favorite gun of all time coming very close to knocking off my M&P45 as top dog. No failures of any kind, everything ran like a top and the icing on the cake was it deposited all my spent brass in a nice little pile about 3 or 4 feet away.

Aren't they just a blast??? I haven't shot my 9c for about a month, so it's time to get back to the farm this weekend and burn through some ammo.

How easy do they shoot? My 10 year old son loves to shoot the 9c!

Exact same experience as you Dusty. Traded my G26 for a used 9c and absolutely love it. Great fit to my hand a very accurate shooter.

I wanted a Glock G27 pretty bad (I kinda like my 40 S&W guns). I thought that would be the one. Then a couple months back while browsing a gunshow I fondled the M&P40c. Glad I did, love this pistol! It's become my daily carry.

Just bought the 9 Shield and it is equally as impressive, but the compact just feels like the perfect overall size.

Now I'm thinking I'll get one in 45, prefer the compact, but might go FS, just not sure.

i as well was a 27 carrier. or i carried a Kahr CW40. until a few days back when i saw the 40c. $400 cash on the barrel brought her home and i've since SOLD my 27 and CW40 because they dont even compare to this series that god gods have gifted us with :-)

I just bought my first Smith M&P9c two weeks ago and quickly added it's little brother the Shield! I am sold on the M&P platform.

Exactly my reaction from having the G26 and moving to the M&P9c .. especially after a guy I know did phenominal trigger work and slide serrations bringing the weight down to 4.5 lbs. I have the Shield too and love it just as much.

I have traded all my Glocks thanks to the M&P's. To me the M&P is way better. The other weekend I took my wife to the range to try some semi-autos because she wants one and after about five shots she had ruled out a G26. She wants a 9c but I am going to let her check the shield out first. I love the M&P line!
