M&P .22 Range Report
I picked up a new M&P .22 last week, took it home and cleaned out all the packing grease and oil. After lubing as per the instructions it went to the range today. The adjustable sights needed a tweek to the right and up a half turn. Five hundred rounds of Federal Bulk 36 grain HP and not a single hicup. It ran flawlessly and was amazingly accurate out to 12 yards - nothing out of the 9 ring dead center off hand. The fail-to-stop, three to the chest and two to the head rapid fire @ 3 yards, even more fun.
If you are looking for a fun range gun, plinker or trail gun (I'm too old for any trails anymore) I can recommend this one w/o reservation. Mine ran just over $400 OTD.
I'm taking it out again tomorrow . . . retirement is really great!

Thanks for the range report. I fondled a M&P 22 this evening. I'm seriously considering buying one.
I recently purchased a plain-jane M&P 9. I've never had a polymer frame, striker fired semi-auto feel as and shoot as natural in my hand. I've put about 600 rounds through it. The shooting costs are adding up quick.
Shooting my Ruger 22/45 improved my ability to shoot my SR1911. I think a M&P 22 will be a great practice tool for my M&P 9.
