Hornady critical defense

In 9MM Critical Defense and Speer Gold Dot are all I use for defense. Federal Hydra-Shok, Winchester Ranger LE and Seer Gold Dot LE are all great rounds too.

In 45 ACP I've actually had the best luck with Remington Golden Sabre Bonded 230 grain JHP's. They feed well and hit POA with the sights set for 230 grain ball.

Critical Duty rounds have a small "H" (letter H) stamped on the red rubber/plastic insert in the hollow point.

I looked at mine, and there are a few that I can see a very faint "H" in the rubber tip...the rest, I see nothing. However, looking at the primers in the light of day, not under a lamp, I can see a difference in color of the primer between the Duty and the Defense rounds.

Ah well...I'll just go shoot them all, and buy some more. It's a thankless task, but someone has to do it. :D

Hornady c d

I've been on the look out for effective anti-personnel 9mm rounds. I've ended up with the aforementioned critical defense for my m&p 9c. Has anybody had any experience with these rounds? Also: what other recommendations do y'all have?
I use these and tried them in diff mediums there pretty
Nasty when examined when removed full weight too,

Got myself a couple boxes of Winchester Ranger Bonded 147gr JHP's ever since I found out my M&P9 likes heavy bullets. I keep Hornady Zombie Max in my Glock 19 (same basic bullet as Critical Defense but brass case and green polymer tip).

Hornady Critical Defense ammunition

After breaking in my Bersa Thunder .380 with 200 rounds of fmj I now use Hornady Critical Defense only. This stuff loads and shoots so well. Low recoil and low muzzle flash. It is all I shoot for both range and defense.

Will go thru 4 layers of denim and penetrate 11 1/2 inches with expansion.

What more could you ask for?
