10+1 Mags for M&P 9C limited to 9
There is no way in h*ll anyone can fit the 10 rounds in these mags.
No uplula, no downlula... Nothing works...
One of the mags (with finger extension) loads easily up to 9 rounds then after flexing a half round size comes to a hard stop...
The other mag (flat bottom) loads really hard up to 9 and then doesn't even flex 1/10".
Will S&W replace these mags with the ones comfortably load with 10 rounds or ???

I am guessing your mags may have some kind of spacer or plug that limits the capacity to 10...because I can load my 12 round magazines easily, and I bet they are the same tube. Well, when they are brand new, the 12th round is kinda tough to get in, but I use an UpLula, and then let them sit for a week or so, and it's not bad after that...but then, I always use the UpLula.
You might try loading them with 9, and letting them sit for a while, and then try the 10th round. If that doesn't work, I'd call S&W.

Thanks GKC...
I was reading the old posts regarding this issue but this is not a little or a lot of hard... This is impossible...
After 9th round you hit a brick wall... Doesn't even budge 1/10th of an inch.
After the 9th round it is a solid resistance on both magazines and it doesn't look like something that will loosen up after a while...No matter how long you leave 9 rounds in it.
It is like when you have size 12 foot and trying to put on a size 9 shoe. There is no way it's gonna fix itself.
I was just wondering how many M&P owners with 10 round capacity mags having the same issue?

10+1 Mags for M&P 9C limited to 9
I've found that 10-round-mags are a real pain. Like bend the feeding lips kinda pain. Anything over 10 is smooth as butter. It's almost as if 10-rounders were an afterthought...

A couple of things. Leave the mags loaded with 9 for some time. Then unload them. Repeat the process several times. A lot to do for something that should work out of the box, though this did work for me. Can pretty easily get 10 loaded now.

Disassemble your magazines and look at both the footplate and the follower. Better yet, take pics of them and post them up here. I'm sure we'd be able to tell if yours has some sort of hard stop that others don't.

You have to do a little sanding on your follower in your 10 round magazine. I had to as well living in MA.
Take your mag apart, undo the spring from the plastic follower, and take the bottom of the follower and sand it down so that the "arches" on the bottom are not so tall.
Once you take a little material off, you shouldn't have a problem getting that last round to fit. It's just these MA and CA compliant mag followers that make it nearly impossible to fit the advertised round count

I have two 10 rounders that were so stiff I couldn't fit the 10th round. But I left it with 9 for about 2 weeks and when I unloaded it and loaded it back up the tenth round was able to fit, was tight but did the same with the 10...now they all fit fine....now if I could only get the full mag in the gun without so much force.

Same problem here in NY with the 10-round 9MM magazines.
I just bought a 9c and the last round is a PITA. A friend of mine has an M&P9 FS with the same problem.
I filed down the legs on the follower a bit and it seemed to help a little bit.
I may try to file them down just a hair more to see if it improves.
I'd say just don't do anything that will alter the spring tension because you don't want to harm the feed function and you need the spring tension to trip the lever that keeps the action open when the mag empties.
Edit:
Here's a video I found that shows the modification.
Not the greatest filming, but it does a decent job showing where to file down the follower.

After seeing this, I'm going to be a little more aggressive with filing down my follower a bit.
Edit #2:
I just filed down my followers as indicated in the video, and it works GREAT.
Round #10 slides right in now, and spring tension is not affected.

Thanks a million man...
It worked perfectly.
It still a PITA to load the magazine by hand but now the 10 round goes in.
I did not alter anything other than filing the bottom of the follower using my dremel tool.
Especially with the spring tension.
Spring tension is still as strong as it was before the filing, except, now it allows to 10th round to go in.
This was bothering me a lot.
Again thank you.

Contact S&W and request new followers. They send them for free. I got 4 for my M&P 9 FS and with the new ones, the last round is not real easy, but goes in without too much effort. Or file down your existing followers. S&W sent me new ones and they were real, real close to the ones I Dremeled down.

What a selfless gesture Hillbilly (strictly for demonstration purposes only of course) showing the forum members from the 49 states who allow more than 7 rounds how to fully load their 9c mags.
It was nice of you to research and explain something that you would never actually do yourself. Bravo sir!
