Justing wanting to post a few pictures of my M&P9 and ask a few questions. I have had the gun for about 3 months. I have shot around 350 rounds and have definitely noticed the gritty trigger and amount of travel in the trigger. Love the gun easy to take care of and shoots fairly accurate.

I am thinking about purchasing the Apex DCAEK to help out with this problem. I am wondering if anyone has purchased this/ using this kit? If so any thought on it?

I like the sights but I am thinking about buying the Trijicon HD Night Sights (Orange). I would also like to know if anyone has these on their gun?

Thanks for looking I will be posting pictures and weights later.

I have the apex duty kit on my fs9. I had it installed after I shot over 1000 rounds of idpa competition. The trigger got way better, less grittyness after that many rounds. But the apex kit made it a noticeably lighter trigger pull and smoother. I also installed the apex ram. I put on the truglo TFO sights at the same time the apex was installed. They both are awesome..

I have the DCAEK and ram installed on my FS40 and love it. Easy to do also... My trigger pull was not so much gritty but it was a MA compliant that gave it a 10+ lbs pull. Now it is 5.5 of smoothness.

@ Ksimons and AR-Getsome

Thanks for the advice I believe I will definitely go with the DCAEK. I have heard nothing but good reviews on it.

Thanks!

I just picked up my 9 from the gun smith and the DCAEK is just awesome, what a difference. I highly recommend.

On sights, I have the XS big dot installed and have been very pleased, very quick to get on target....

Best!

PS-I put about 1,000 rounds through before ordering the DCAEK and a ton of dry firing and although it got somewhat better, just wasn't what I wanted. Also, can't feel the break point now.. :D

A few mods!

Taran Tactical Innovations 140mm Extended Bas Pad. I would like to get a different mag well. Any suggestions? Magazine can now hold 23+1 rounds.

Apex Competition Kit, TruGlo Brite-Sight, Apex AEK Trigger. The trigger and competition kit are exceptional. The Truglo sight are very bright in both day and night situations.

@ Rastoff

I haven't been able to shoot as much as I'd like, but I have around 500 through it now, about 100 before the internal upgrades and another 400 after. The trigger is super smooth now, and I am glad I made the improvements. The sights are also fantastic.

Possibly looking at a Storm Lake barrel...any suggestions?

i have the same setup you are describing HD's with the apex carry kit I also have the polymer trigger which is fantastic.
