I wanted to see if I could get away w/ a cheaper weapon light, and tried out
Aim Sports 150 Lumens Flashlight with Qrl Color Filtered Lenses:Amazon:Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41I2WCNmbQL.@@AMEPARAM@@41I2WCNmbQL one that was popular on Amazon. I'm just gonna copy and paste my amazon review. Spoiler alert: it's junk!
UPDATE 2/27/2013: Thankfully Amazon is awesome, I contacted them about returning for a refund. They sent me a link to print out the return paperwork, I packed it up in the original box and sent it back, shipping paid by amazon. Refund was issued very quickly. Thanks Amazon!

I think most of the high reviews for this item are from people who have not yet shot with the light on their gun.
I was also impressed when I received this light. It seemed rugged, fit nice on my M&P .45 full size, and was super bright. Well....
You get what ya pay for. Took it to the range to see if it could handle some actual use on a gun... It can't. After less than 100 rounds of .45 target ammo it fails to turn on, it's busted.
Learn from me and save your money for a higher quality light. Sure it looks great on the gun, but failed under actual use. Would you want your tac light crappin out during a home invasion??
