Shield factory test fire!
Picked up my new shield 9 Thursday 3/21/13 at my LGS here in mid Michigan. Just thought I would throw this out there, factory test fire date was 3/8/13 and pick up at gun shop was 3/21/13. These are really hot off the assembly line. For those running around looking for one of these, find a shop that will let you prepay for one so you can have the next one that comes in. I only waited 2 weeks for mine and paid $449, alittle high but its not what alot of others are paying.

That was about the length of time for my 9c, too.
It was in the store less than 2 weeks after it was test fired. I bought it 14 days after the test fire date.

Shield factory test fire!
Picked mine up Wednesday and had a fire date of 3-12. I was waiting on a .40 but they got the 9 in so I went with it. I already have a 9C so figured what the heck already have some ammo for it, that way I can get something else in .40 cal. )

WOW. You "almost" be able to open the case and find a warm handgun at that speed...

My friend's 9 mm Shield had a test fire date of 2/18, and he picked it up at our LGS on 3/7. He had ordered it with a deposit on 2/22.
I ordered my 40 on 2/21. When he got his, I was still #3 in line. A little over two weeks later, I am now #2 in line. When he got his, the store said they expected to get plenty of 40s the next week, so I was really expecting it to arrive then. Keep waiting.
His 9 is fine. No issues at all. I am glad, because it is his first firearm purchase. He's got a lot of learning to do!
