Guys,
Just wanted to post up some pics for any you wondering how the Burris mounts and how it looks.

It doesn't co-witness very well, but its enough for a quick sight picture. SW says the Burris won't fit using the supplied mounts, but IIRC I used the Ty 5 mounting plate and it fit perfectly.

That's one thing I hear people complain about, the sights don't really line up since the Burris sits higher. You're lucky you got a 9L... I was looking for one but didn't want to pay $900

That is an awesome looking setup. Very well done...Wow.

I also have the Burris Fastfire III on my M&P Pro 9mm.

The stock sights were shooting quite a bit low, so I knew I had to do something. I put the mount kit on and then the Burris, without too much trouble.
I then had to crank the Reflex up all the way to the max to get it sighted at 25 yards. I can not move it any higher, which is too bad.
I'm thinking of either a new barrel or the Sight-Mark version.

If I'm shooting off a rest to sight in the Reflex and I get it zeroed with 5 shots in a 3-4" circle by maxing the red-dot to its highest point, how can that be trigger control.
Its working just fine, I just had to max out the red-dot to its highest possible setting.
I'm no crack shot off hand, but when I check it off rest its right on.

I take it back. Most don't sight their gun in using a rest.

In that case, I'd say there's something wrong with either the sight or how it's mounted. It shouldn't be maxed out either way to get it zeroed.

The gun wasn't designed for that sight and because of that it sits HIGHER then it should which is why he's having issues.

Nine bear,
How is your fastfire holding zero?
Mine seems to be holding after a few hundred rounds.

Kuk,
Mine is holding zero very well, about 250 rounds with it so far.

I thought if i put a taller reflex type red dot on my M&P it would naturally raise the point of impact. I was surprised I had to keep cranking and cranking the dot toward UP until it was maxed. I'll see how it goes this spring/summer when I shoot outdoors and let some friends try it.
I returned 2 Sightmark relex sights, they just flat out stopped working after about 10 minutes. The Burris is a much nicer build, for sure.

You may need a 1 degree shim from Brownells or Midway. They're cheap and easy to install. This is a common problem which is why they sell shims.

do you have to have the CORE version to mount optics to MP Pistols, or can you just get a standard FS version and mount optics to it easy?

I have had to crank mine down a ways to get my shot groups to move 4 inches (from 2 o'clock to center) at 10 yrds, which i expect that to go back up a bit at 25 yrs once I get back out to the range and fire seated and benched.

How my Sightmark Mini Shot Pro Sits on my C.O.R.E. with the type 5 plate

Trying to co-witness

Switch barely clears

Does not really co-witness. Sits like the Burris Fastfire and the STS

I am looking at the same set up as shwagondawheels. I am leary about the sightmark quality, but for $100, i thought it would be worth a try. how has it performed on your CORE?

Fyi it only held zero for 80 rds! But hey they are sending me another one now so we will see how round 2 goes. Decent customer service for that matter. If it does not work it will be going on my .22
