Crossbreed Mini-Tuck Opinions
I've been thinking of getting this holster for my Shield. Anybody out there using one for their Shield? If so, how do you like it?
Thanks

I have never used one for a Shield, but I use one for my PM9 when it's not in a pocket. I also have three others for various 1911s, XDsc etc. I did find that I prefer the horsehide though. I also like the Quick-clip or Mini-clip depending on size.
I'm sure there are many other similar styled holsters out there but Crossbreeds work for me and they have a great return/repair policy. Just my opinion and you know what that's worth

I have the mini with horsehide for my shield, and it does great. I work in the heat so it sees a lot of sweat abuse, but so far so good (about 2 months now). Very comfortable, great retention, and conceals well.

I have a Super Tuck for my M&P9c and I love it, so when I bought my Shield I thought because of it's smaller size I would go with the Mini-Tuck. I wore it for 2 days and decided I had made a mistake because it wasn't nearly as comfortable as my Super Tuck. I called CrossBreed and they said to return it and they would exchange it for a Shield Super Tuck. I now wear it everyday and seldom know it's there. The added leather of the Super Tuck vs the Mini made a huge difference in my case...your results may vary........

I have one, LOVE IT! Conceals great, very comfortable. Longest I have wore it in a row is just under ten hours.
My only complaint, it takes FOREVER to get it once you order it, yet I would say it is worth the wait.

I had a Supertuck but it creaked really badly. I got a White Hat holster and prefer it much better. Whith White Hat, the kydex screws into the leather, so if you want to carry a different gun, you just have to order new kydex, not a whole new holster.

You can't go wrong with a crossbreed. It takes a while for them to ship it out, but well worth the wait.

You can't go wrong with the mini-tuck. I have been using one with my Shield for a while now and absolutely love it. I tried an Old Faithful at first only because I could get it sooner but the Crossbreed is much better and more comfortable hands down. I also have a super tuck for my M&P9c and a micro clip for my Kahr PM9. The Crossbreed holsters are worth every penny and worth the wait.
The J clips are OK but you have to wear them with jeans or pants with stronger waistbands otherwise it will pull the waistband down on your pants if you wear it for a while. The V clips are not bad you just need a nice belt with the velcro on the back. They take a bit of getting used to in order to get them on just right but all in all they are not bad. I keep going back to the standard clips as they work great and they are the easiest to use.

Good luck to anyone wanting a Crossbreed holster. I ordered one 11 weeks ago and that is freaking long enough. I e-mailed them today to cancel my order. Nothing is that good to have to wait that long. No communication since the order, no holster delivered to my door, no nothing. So OP, if you're thinking about ordering one, give it 3 months and maybe (who knows really?) you'll be able to try it. Just my 2 cents on Crossbreed.

I have one for my Keltec P11 and will order one for my shield. When I get it tomorrow morning. A very well made holster.

It took me 10 weeks to get mine. Longer than expected, but for me it wasn't a big deal. And it works as expected, rather wait than have them rush an inferior product.

You might take a look at Ozarks Holsters. They are very well made and comfortable. You need to order on Monday and he has about a week turnaround. I have one for my Beretta Nano and plan on getting one for my Shield.

Look at Remora as well. Much faster shipping, excellent communication and better prices. Not the same holster - but effective. I wear one all day - every day. Or look at the Sticky line of holsters. And no extreme waiting

I used a Remora as a temporary holster until it arrived but the Crossbreed was worth the wait.
