I'm sorry for the ridiculously dumb question, but M&Ps have a Picatinny Rail correct? As best as I can find, that's the case. However, I cannot, for the life of me, get my new Surefire Light attached with the "P" rail setting. Actually, I can barely get it on with the "U" setting. Thanks for your help!

I use the universal latch. It should slide on as is. If not loosen the screws on the latching mechanism a little bit, attach it to your weapon and snug them down.

I have a Steamlight tlr-1s. It is designed for a Picatinny style rail so, I'm going to say the M&P has a Picatinny style rail. Mine tightens down differently, but the attachment looks similar to yours.

You may have to move the key that fits in the rail slot toward the back of the light.

Thanks everyone. After making a few calls today, it is in fact a Picatinny rail, and Surefire makes it SNUG. After considerable force and effort, it snapped into place. Hopefully, I won't need to take it off anytime soon.
