Hi folks. I read this forum daily but seldom post. Now I need some advice. I am attempting to use my suppressor with a Shield in .45ACP, and I cannot find a threaded barrel on any website in which I look. Lone Wolf offered one at one time, but a telephone call with them confirmed it was discontinued.
Can I use a M&P .45 barrel in the Shield, and have it shortened/threaded by a gunsmith? Does anyone know if the M&P barrel is even usable in the Shield - does it fit properly, etc?
Whatever insight anyone can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
PS: just realized this is in the S&W Autopistol forum and not the M&P forum. Sorry about that.
