How can I tell if a Shield is post-recall
Good evening, all.
I am considering a Shield and am hoping you good folks can tell me how I can tell if a Shield is post-recall.
Thank you much in advance.

If it was made after Aug 19, 2013 you're OK. Even so, if it were me, I'd run the test on it anyway.

As mentioned, running the test is always a good idea.
I'd recommend running that trigger safety test every time you clean your pistols Actually... I'd recommend this same test when cleaning ANY Striker Fire pistol... Be it Glock, XD, Ruger SR series, etc.

^^^- What he said. It was a safety alert, NOT a recall.

Even if you come across a Post - Alert Shield, it doesn't necessarily mean it has a problem. There was only a small number that were a problem. If you see a good deal on one and it has the trigger problem, it is an easy fix to send it back to S&W at their expense. Mine had to be sent back and it only took two weeks DTD. Don't let this be a deal breaker.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post this...
I was gonna let it slide.
